Valencien operates like a biological calculator. To her, the crushing pressure of the deep isn't a hardship -- it's a constant, measurable variable of existence. She is unnervingly clinical, viewing the world through a lens of sensory data: thermal shifts, water pressure, the drift of currents.... While others might see a school of fish as a shimmer of life, Valencien sees a mass of kinetic energy and potential calories. She is the type of being who will watch a disaster unfold not out of malice, but because she is fascinated by the fluid dynamics of the wreckage.

Her disillusionment is a quiet, intellectual conclusion. She has tasted enough history through her antennae to know that every "thriving" ecosystem eventually becomes a layer of silt. She doesn't complain about the end of things, she simply waits for the math to finish. This makes her brutally honest -- if you are dying, she will tell you the exact rate of your organ failure without a hint of cruelty, simply because she assumes you'd prefer the accuracy over a lie.

Valencien views her mate Blue as a perpetual anomaly in an otherwise predictable world. While she publicly dismisses his anxious manner as a "significant waste of energy," she intentionally positions herself within the wake of his red-gold trail, using his chaotic drive to stave off her own creeping inertia. He is her favorite case study: a creature so terrified of the end that he lives with a vibrancy that she finds addictive. His frantic signal is the only thing sharp enough to pierce her sensory boredom and remind her that not everything is sediment just yet.
