Luckily, the portal system off the shelf-coast of Nidus Insula is not completely isolated, and so other sea dragons often stumble in to White Flash's territory. He enjoys luring them to deeper depths whenever possible, and eats those who annoy him... though those are rare incidents. Mostly, he likes to pose riddles and play games. He's got almost no hoarding instinct, so he'll reward those who brave his territory with treasures that have sunk in his home range, if they're clever enough.

Since Blue-Gold showed up in his territory, he's become unexpectedly paternal. He enjoys the younger dragon's company, and has taught him quite a few of his tricks. He's aware there's a good chance that Blue-Gold will use those against him... but that's part of the fun. He's been missing a challenge, and has found the greatest one of all in surrogate parenthood.

It turns out, White Flash was keeping him safe from other, much more dangerous sea creatures. Eventually he broke the code of communication via lights that his elder was training him in, and the two have settled into a sort of mutualistic relationship ever since.

In a way, Blue-Gold is a good intermediary: he learned how to speak telepathically when he was quite young, before he left Hathian waters, even, and a surprising amount of creatures in the area are also telepathically inclined. For that reason, he's been able to eke out a relationship with some of the mid and upper waters creatures, and their tales have proven exciting fodder for stories to tell White Flash. Anything that keeps the elder entertained means that he's a little less menacing, and Blue-Gold (who really has absolutely no intention of usurping his elder's territory in any way, despite what White Flash insists) can relax just a little bit more.
