Poehei is extremely strong, with a swimmer's build and a short stature. She has short-cropped, curly black hair and dark skin, with eyes the colour of a stormy sea-- her mother tells her this has been good luck in their family, as a forebear found a way to trap the storm inside so the waters of their home would stay placid.
Poehei is used to wearing very little, save perhaps a pouch and some hardy fronds engineered to work as flippers. Since arriving at Timara, she's had to adapt to the chill of life stop a mountain. Nowadays, she likes to wear bright colours when she gets them, and tends to bundle up more than your average Aspirant or even rider.

Poehei was well-suited to her life as a pearl-diver out of Granvyn, coming from a long line of women who plucked these precious resources from the secluded coves off the edge of their tiny island village. Less so was she as good at trading the resources she swam so powerfully to collect. Poehei keeps a very powerful temper at bay behind placid expressions and quiet words, because that was also something her family drilled into her from a young age. She must remain mysterious, she must remain unattainable, she must be a treasure in and of herself.
Poehei is truly glad to have been Searched, even if she misses the coastal life and her daily routines. She is learning, little by little, that she can speak her mind and not be ruined over it. She has powerful role models to look up to all around her in the knights and their draks, and she has learned that, from Castle Timara, the whole world can be her oyster.
She is not easily exciteable, but for the first time in her life, that angry storm of emotions is beginning to feel hope, and that is very powerful. She will probably always be patient and careful around others, but she is eager to find out who she'll become next.
