Appearance: |
Paula has a slim build and a relatively plain look, but she's got a way of holding herself that fools the senses of most people into believing she's got status and power.
She has warm brown skin and ashy brown hair, which she keeps short and a little wavy, usally with a simple pin to keep her bangs out of her face. Her eyes are warm hazel, a shade or two lighter than her skin. Paula's expression is open but a little cool when at rest, like someone who is mildly curious but not fully engaged with a situation.
Paula's regular garb is simple and easy; she likes a buttoned blouse under a heavy cardigan, loose leggings, and slip-on boots in shades of grey or (if she's feeling fancy) red. She rarely wears makeup, preferring simplicity where possible.

Personality: |
Paula often feels troubled, turbulent about feelings and needs that she can't quite meet. This doesn't keep her from daily life, but she does find it makes her a little bit distant. She's channeled some of that into painting, much like her half-sister, Vassilia, but mostly Paula's mind likes order and progression. Her artistic works are concerned primarily with geometric shapes and lines, and look rather amateurish to most people, though the artistic folk in the Nidus have taken to asking for work.
When she's not trying to express herself through unsettling geometry, Paula keeps files orderly. The Nidus is not a hide-bound Weyr, and its computer systems need administration. That's her go-to; data input and management, organizing the messy lives of humans and trying to make sense out of them in numbers.
