P'ax has always and probably will always be young at heart, with just a bit of grey at his temples and a slim, athletic build. His hair is short-cropped, though when it gets a little longer it has a wave to it. His skin is black, his eyes are dark brown, and his expression is generally friendly and open. He loves bright, contrasting colours and accents that display traditional symbols of wealth that a Pernese trades caravaneer might display: silk, rich scents, gold and silver... he doesn't dress so much to make riding difficult or dangerous, but he's always got an eye to making a good impression. |

P'ax is a happy go lucky man who is always on the move. He believes the best in people, even if that needs to be coaxed out under the light. With a ready smile and laugh, he's made many friends throughout his life as a trader, as a rider at Darkling Dawn, and even as a transfer to Nidus Descendi. When he was a child, he fantasized about becoming a heroic dragonrider, and though he often envisioned himself setting aback a bronze, he quickly realized as he bonded Nydith that a green was a far better match. The two work well together, both of them bragging about their achievements of the week in dragging some introverted friend or another out for drinks, or of chasing away wild animals, or in felling however many trees for the nearby unbonded humans to build their smaller holds.
P'ax is as promiscuously romantic as he is platonically friendly, and he enjoys Nidus life for the easy, open relationships he's formed. He's often seen with an arm around another green-rider or blue-rider regardless of whether the two's dragons have flown to mate, and those who he settles with are usually warned ahead of time of his fluidity. He skirts with the more formal aspects of love from time to time, but ultimately feels more comfortable treating romance as a friendly behaviour without the strings of monogamy attached. This isn't to say that he doesn't love, for he has strong feelings. A good example could be made for the several children he's fathered. He's quite involved with Lower Cavern events just so he can be closer to his children, even if he can't be a full-time father. He's the same with any hatchlings that Nydith has mothered; he often helps with the little tasks that Weyrlings need help with so that he and Nydith can be closer to their collective children. |
