You guys can definitely name your dragons. I recommend word-type names, as sound-names are fairly rare on the Otherforest. I mean, I could hardly think of soul-names for you lot either, a couple i did but mostly just left up to you. I don't presume. :)

Whee, that's awesome! ^_______^'

Alright, for anyone who's just wandering by now, there's a bit of informal RP with your elf-characters going down tonight here:

http://www.geocities.com/tripaldi_frenzy/bonding.html

It's starting now (around 6:30 eastern time) and running until whenever--feel absolutely free to join in whenever, you can hop in at any time and we ought to still be going! ^_^ Afterwards there will be a thread logged on this board, so no worries about missing anything! :D Drop in if you're feeling so inclined! Let's put these awesome chars that Shard made for us to work! XD

And, to hijack this thread a little further, for anyone who wants to know what the heck is going on, Mystic posted the opening thread right here:

http://www.deviant-uprising.com/nexus/v ... =9234#9234

Just give that a quick read-over and everything that happens afterwards is mostly smalltalk. XD

Well if you sign up for an elf, I can start up the next 'chapter' with the latecomers. You, Ty, Gildedlilly and a couple more muses are on the way, if you sign up. :D Link's on the first page. Go on! You know you want to!

I so want another elf, just so I have more interesting people to play in the RP, but I don't have any crazy/interesting muses like everyone else seems to have...and I told my boyfriend about this and he just looked at me like I was insane, so I can't send him in! *L*

Well you *could*. :) heh. Don't know who else you'd be needing though. It's all up to you anyway. Fill out the form for him, who'll know? :D

Can I send in my imaginary boyfriend/sorta muse/alter ego/figment of my hyperactive imagination? He can't complain!

Cool thanks for the new muse.

There's gotta be some dude in your stock of characters, Xalia. :) Someone. Or, I could just throw Blackbuck at someone else and produce an offspring for ya to interact with lol!

Hmm...D'rison and T'rl come about as close to my idea of a 'perfect man' as I've ever created...(hence why D'rison won my Weyrleader flight and T'rl is after my alter-ego Reizlyn...heh...) I suppose I could send one of them in...or both since we're SO short of males...And Naoryn...he'd be hard though, he's a Goprin...Naoryn wouldn't want to come without Mykha...but he's a sweety...if a little odd...heh...

Dude, if we have a lack of males in general, I have a plethora of male characters XD They'd just all be stuck as muses, an all....

I do too. I can also bring in several of the existing elves from other Holts. Though I gotta say this one is fairly thickly populated already lol!

YOU wanna see how BLACKBUCK does it. :D

Only by permission, first off. But I'm gonna scan through my other holts and see who's got what it takes to be around you lot. It's scary... cuz, you're like the most prolifically artistic and educated bunch. Most other elves don't bother writing... and most holts have an artist or two but... heh.

Hee...Well, when/if Alynn shows up, he's going for Segs - but she's the kind to play hard to get rather then just admit she likes him back. And me...I'll be trying to decide of Selin and Em! (Most likley take Emger eventually cuase I'm very partical to my poor Seer...)

Kewl!

I've decided on offspring of a couple elves, one of them is a 4th generation inhabitant. Plus, Lyric, who is a good friend of mine and would long have been wanting a change in his life... his ex-lifemate would make his life hell where he was, so he's coming along. A drummer, goth, and masseur. :)

Mmm.. massuer... *heavenlyblissexpressionofdoom* I so need to find me someone around here - I end up giving all my friends massages, but never wind up getting any myself *feels slightly jipped, is far too good of a friend (not to mention loves doing things for others!) and never comments on anything she would like.. ah well..*

.. Sorry, random Starry rant when I should be in bed. *rawrs, goes to sleep finally..*

Maaaaaybe not from the Firebolt point of view. XD *she boots him in the head and tells him to go off and find his posse of girly-fans* I just want to know how you merge all of the stats together and stuff! XD Do you just accumulate powers and abilities and such with 'em?

It's a process. :) Compatability is formed from

Appearance (will they look good fused)
Stats (will they merely average out or will they produce a 'better' elf)
Powers - this is complicated. I try and choose for elves with at least one power in common. Those with similar but not exact powers (like a lot of mental powers but not quite the same) may wind up with low-levels in all of their parent's powers, or just a smattering between the two.

After that the skills and personality often follow.

It's a lot easier to make a child between these guys with CIS's than to make an elf cold from the form, lemme tell you. I'm still working on a guide to actually doing that. I did leave some things out of the online form (like, you can't 'cross out' anything you DON'T like, that's kind of important) but in general my impressions of people at least here and in real life allow me to temper the form with what I know (like, Ty and Crimson having leadership qualities, etc).

And with that said, welcome Guildedlilly's new elf: FOOTHOLD!

Every holt needs a shoemaker, though she also does 'fashions' too, along with colorful dyes.

Image

http://droppin-the-fork.com/elves/guilded-elf1.DOC is the cis - if you can't read it it's in Word 2k3, and can't convert to an older version. I can take a screenshot if you wish.

Ty's on the way, along with a couple others. Woot!

Ok, you miss-linked my stat sheet 'cause you spelled my name wrong, but it's no biggie. I found it and can read it just fine. Agan, I'm AWESOME!

"...and are know to be Commanding, noisy, Pride[ful], Social."

That's me! Ooh, and I get to be sneaky and stuff! And how did you know I was a dancer? Anyways, yet agan, AWESOME!

I'm shutting up now.

I'm very glad you like her! :) I always like latching on to one or two specific things, and it had occurred to me that we've had no real shoemakers - anywhere actually. Until now. :)

Hey, Shard...I'm sending you four forms...Naoryn, Mykha, T'rl, and D'rison...if you've got too many to do...or we've got too many people in the holt feel free to chuck them...but if you have time/motivation/room/etc I'm curious as to what you'll do with them... :) Naoryn and Mykha are unofficially my muses because they inspired me to create Kilandaia in the first place... :)

That definitely qualifies for elfhood. :) If I get real people I tend to do them first, then muses. I think I have a couple Deviantartists I need to get to but also a pile of muses and the bad guys. But obviously, real people and their immediate muses come first.

Ty and Tiyanni are next up, I have to do their pictures when I get home. I *really* think you guys will like em.

... haha, every time I see "Ty", I think of Meimei. In real life, people call her Ty, and me Cy, since they tend to see us as... I dunno, a pair. Haha. Yay for being confused the same way as I am when someone says "Cy" referring to Cy Dragonstake.
