lol - Yeah Yakima I was hoping that at least a couple of your wolf personas would make it. With or without wings, that's the question :) And having some wanderers in this area would suit the place. It's huge. I have wanderers in the tundra, worldwide, the desert, the eastern plains, and the deep south but there's nothing right where the Dragonclan is.

I'm still writing the story but it's allllmost done. Trying to get the point across that they're WALKING almost 3 thousand miles...... whee. :)

^^; Shard, if you want to keep JKat's character on the bad side, you could probably slip Agate into the good side... so long as you don't mind him making just a little bit of trouble... XDD Like a sort-of-good-aligned rogue might?

:3 Still watching this thread, too. You do so much fun stuff with these guys, it's like... watching the beginnings of one massive soap opera unfold! XDD

lol - yes, that it is!

I'll work something out for the bad guys when I'm done making them up. :D

For now, I have finished the story. .... It's quite big.

So, question - should I post it in the Art/Writing section on its own, in pieces? Or put it up as a doc file, or on the net reformatted (which will be a pain in the ass) as an html page?

It's like 57 pages long. Admittedly that's in 12 point print but still... It's pretty huge.

I'll just start posting it in this section in its own thread. I'd prefer no commentary on it THERE, direct anything about it here. :D

And much like in the real world, Keilin will come in late and in the WAY background, preferably as far from main action as possible (not that you'd ever want her as the protagonist or in the main party anyway... o.o). She'll probably also make casual commentary on situations or meander around trying not to get in the way and failing miserably.

Hee, I'm having fun being silly, but carry on, now. ^_^ Now then, is there still time to plop Keilin, the muse formerly known as Twille, and a metric tonload of cats into a holt at some point?

Yeah. Anyone who comes in after this posting (including the muses and 'eeeevil' elves) will make it to the holt, though not with this main group. Basically whoever sends the groups of em at the same time as someone else, that's your group. :) I purposefully kept the actual numbers vague because of this. Mostly because I don't know how many there will wind up being in the end.

@Sil - yeah, let me link to that for you. :)

XDD *has been reading, but is only up to the hedge-maze part with Endgame and (presumably) Mystic-char and me-char* So far so good, and quite fun, too! X3 Will 'we' be meeting any of these Startree Holt characters later on, or are the teachers just for the main story, then they won't come down and visit later? *reeeeading!*

Shard, could you link my stats page (and gif image?) again? ;_; I'm on a new computer, and I don't have a firewire to transfer all of the files from the old one to this! XD The drawing bug's bit me, I want to take a crack at my Firebolt charrie!

Well, eventually I'll probably want to throw some visitors your way. But ... it'll take so long for anyone to get there - the place *is* very far from anything else. :) The elf-Olympics thing (I mention it in one person's cis, but I don't know if I say anything about it elsewhere) will probably want some participants. Every 8 of years they choose a holt and compete - physical stuff like racing and jumping, hunting, skinning and gutting, but also mind games, powers shaping and the like. Once the rest of the elf world gets wind of an entire new holt cropping up overnight, they'll definitely be interested. Plus, with Snowdrift and her friends always moving, they spread the word that you're there too.

I do have a couple short interludes that when the inspiration strikes me I write out, one on one type things, but I didn't include them here because they're often kinda personal. :)

Here's your elf -

Thanks so much, Shard! :3

Those olympics sound like fun... XD Maybe some day you can set something up and we can all participate with dice and writing and art and such. X33

No problem with the interlude bits. Are they like with Blackbuck appearing and such, or are they more between random characters of ours?

Anyhow... :DDDD Just got to the part with the eggs beginning to hatch! Woot! *reads on* (Yeah, I'm slow... I can't help it! XD)

Let us know if you'd like any help with anything? I'm definitely available if you want a template drawn (since I know those take for freaking ever sometimes... 9_9) or anything else worked on (colouring, maybe, once I figure out how to use my new photoshop/art proggies! or some writing, if you feel that that's something that others can chip in on!), otherwise, can't wait to see more! (And infact, I think I'm going to go back to reading. X3 Wheee!)

I've got 4 dragon templates, and about 4 or 5 dragons done. I put the elf directly on the image, so there's no mistaking how large they are in comparison. :)

I haven't actually figured out what most of the dragons look like, nor whether everyone (muses mainly) will have one. Some just don't, muses particularly - the winged ones lol.

Yes, @ Kesava I got yours and will be working on it shortly :)

I'd love to have some kind of elfyolympic thing, though you all know how well i do "continuing" stuff.. ie: badly. I could come up with a challenge signup and your elves, based on their abilities, would be able to sign in. There are online dice rolling services which you can actually email the gm with your results. :)

That would allow me to bring in the best of the best, heh, from around the Otherforest.

and private stuff ... well, yeah there's at least one Blackbuck story there, heh. More just little things in the early part, where people break off from the group and learn about their powers or have a particular hunt or something. A couple came to mind immediately (Night'sRain talking to Moondance) but I want to at least *try* and have a couple paragraphs for everyone eventually. That'll take a while.

Speaking of Blackbuck... so. how many grrls out there *want* him to get giggy? because he's... ... available. He's also ridiculously fertile and has a 160 sending - receiving only score.... meaning that private thought you had? not so private. But he's not so good at sending (54%...) so it won't get around. But he'll be recognizing at least one right off, and I'll let you guys stew about who it'll be (which might be painfully obvious but remember I *do* choose mates because of compatable appearance, powers and stats, not just to do it). :D

That was fun, Shard! ^^ :: read the whole thing XD :: I didn't have a clue who most of the people were, but it was still cool! :: laughs :: I am very impressed at your ability to keep a story moving, especially such a long one.

So these guys are all technically part of the same Holt/group, then, and not just a bunch of elves living in basically the same area? :: wasn't ever sure about that o.o ::

Yeah, though they're spread out hugely over a much bigger territory than other groups (the Nomads wander their locations, the Plains wanderers do the same, but they don't have one home location like this).

I'm going to put up the images onto the web, so you can see everyone's dolls, along with name and such.

Sure, it's not necessary but if you do I'd like to know which kind so I can include it in any future stories.... heh.

The things are about the size of a stuffed toy, the biggest ones might come to your knee at most. Who knows if they are intelligent or based on dragons or just what. Metanoia created them, so ...

Well at least they're not Clarion's Patented Exploding Chickens.

Oooh, so cute! XDD But they look so annoying, too! (That's the point, ain't it? XDD)

I may snitch one, Shard, if that's alright. XDDD Hey, making stats-sheets/whatever to put up on a site! :D Could be fun!

*snickers* Knowing Naal's luck, he'll get clung to by a White and have a Black sulking around him all the time. And, of course, always trying to pry the White off of him *laughs in amusement*

Naal: ... I just /attract/ these things like moths to a flame, don't I -.- *muttergrumble*

I'm just going to snitch a Gray, Light Blue, and Green. *grins, pets the Green* Just. ^^ I love having creatures around me, obviously. *purrs*

Heh, Blackbuck and Taters. Those things look edible, I think.

It makes sense (especially with what, Wyvern and the winged muses) that they go without dragons. Heck, it makes it more fun. :: 3vil laughter :: And I'd be interested at some point to see what your list of "compatable" pairs would be, since I have no cloue how you'd do that.

So we're supposed to stew and see who you pick? I think Redbard and the boisterous loud orange (heh, I can't wait to see what you're going to do witht he dragons) are going to be attempting to hang-glide: "No really, you can hold my arms and dangle me over the lake! I swear, it will be /fun/!"

The story is the most awesome fun so far. I know that it's at least amused "Vanish" as well.

..did I mention Chromey more than likely wouldn't be compatable with anyone (if she's really supposed to be like me). As for Dark--she's not evil. She's neutral, and a trickster--I could see her being a semi-loner, causing trouble for both holts ^^

If we're going to have loners, you mind if Kinr becomes one? Usually she's bound to one place or another, following the orders of some monarch. However, lacking the draconic history that usually goes with her, her only purpose on this world would be to fight Tetrika. :D My epic battle between hydras and dragons goes everywhere with me.

And I'll take a red for Crimson. With Farstep always on the move, she'll get lonely in that den all by herself.

I'm still working on that actually. :) Need to find the right victi.... guy. :p

And yeah the tatertots I had the idea for those exactly the same time as the elves....

You know those things in Spirited Away, those three head things that bump along and grunt? That's what I was thinking these guys are like, only a little more annoying...

Shard, ignore the first form, I hit enter and the bloody thing went away.

Also... what if I wanna pick more than one thing from the dropdown lists, huh?

Yeah, I'm a pain. The full form should be with you shortly...

-edit, 12:39am- ok, it's done now.
