The first post has been edited to create a 'Pit Dragons' breeding project. :3 Rachael, I tossed you up first so you can give us idea of what you want. XD Then I tossed Aireona and I in since we both want to be in on this, too.
I'm not sure what sort of genetics would go into breeding fighting dragons but I'd really like to get in on one of these... If someone wants to give me suggestions I like the idea of fighting dragons...
Back on page one towards the bottom, Rachael had mentioned taking dragons that were lithe and quick (dragons that embody the idea of 'flight') and breeding them into dragons that were hefty, war-bound, fighting machines. I think that traits that you would look for would be stockier dragons, those with fighting personalities or abilities, and maybe even those with armor?
I'm going to leave it up to her to explain how she'd like to see it run, though. :3
Xalia, Dray's got it right. Starting with a species developed to avoid confrontation, take dragons with qualities which would be good for a confrontational species and breed those traits in, ultimately aiming for a species which would be good in war-bound situations. =)
*snicker* Well, I think I should try to stay out of this one, but I'd like to offer up any Saa that I have for the pit dragon project. X3 They're pretty darn bred to avoid confrontation!
Also, almost done with my breeding for the markings project!
XDD!!! Nope! Though I would suggest Aemei, Mara, Clander or Nicari, as the others might be a little leery of (or downright against) the idea of mixing with a marshmallow!dragon. ^.^;;
I have no idea what dragons I have that I could breed into that project so I guess I'll just continue to sit it out...maybe I'll join something later...

/Some/ sort of theme would help or I'd get stuck trying to come up with dragons to breed in... XD For example I keep thinking I should just pick two of my dragons and breed them...but I can never settle on a pair! XD
Maybe something to do with certain traits we'd like to see? I keep thinking I want to do a fuzzy-wuzzy dragon breeding thing, but I'm not sure how to work it...maybe start with dragons with no hair and breed in dragons will progressively more fur? So no breeding in a Pyralan right off the bat? XD

Snakey or serpentine dragons would be a fun one! How would you want that to go? Start normal and work toward serpentine or start with a serpentine dragon and see how ridiculously long and snakey we can make them?
If people like the fuzzy idea we can get that one started...
