I sent Dark. ^.^

Just to let you know, Dark isn't human, though the stats I gave are for her human form. She's a spirit of destruction who's true form is of a spirit dragon (her material dragon form looks exactly like her true form, except solid)

For the record, Shard, she is completely emotionless in her original incarnation. She was born to be a soldier, nothing else, and trained to forego the weaker practices of showing affection, hurt, pride, or anything that would give the enemy an advantage. She is a white dragon originally but walks around in a human form. She's also the precursor to Mystic and many of my other characters.

As such, she has Mystic's staff.

Kinr is a white mage, hence she'll only wear white clothes. She excels in healing as much as she does in death dealing.

I'd like to keep Kinr as emotionless if I could. It's one of her canon traits.

Oooh cool.

So now I need to do quite a few new ones, but I'd also like to get the story as built out to you all. I'll set up that first, so essentially the 'late' comers may wander by as you're all in transit.
Plus... Now I want to put up something for... bad guys.

I can think of some tasteless additions to the holt's area in terms of elves, but ... I bet I would also be really offending people.

So, no.

I'll work something out that will actually provide some tension more than the mad science-elves making exploding chickens.

and the other little eggs, which I still ... am so proud of... and you all know nothing yet...

*flails* If you need 'bad guys', KTFE likes wreaking a little havoc now and then! She's not EVIL exactly, just... an element of real chaos, not just the cutesy randomosity kind.

A rival holt.

Over across on the WAAAY other side of the continent, near the Hall of Portals where many MANY other elves came through to this world, there are two holts.

Fang's Tree, which is much older, having been founded around ... what, like 30? Or in the 20's? (You lot arrive 115.) By Fang and his group of followers. Fang, as I may mention him in certain stories here and there, is batshit nuts crazy. A self-shaper who was obsessed with wolves, first off, but had been brought with his then-girlfriend who became Veil. They split up in real life. And the guy I wrote Fang from, wrote himself a fanfic where he killed her. Tore her up, horribly. He never showed it to me, but I got the gist, obviously. That story became cannon. (didn't I post that? I might have in the prior forum.) He was the first (and so far ONLY) elf to have killed another elf. He went crazy - because Veil's spirit HAUNTED him for decades.

So while he was getting weirder and weirder, he attracted a bunch of others who liked to get wild. Perhaps cruel, maybe just weird. But they followed him when he was kicked out of the South holt. They went east, to the swamplands near the Hall. There's more to his story because he was seen by Alorel, my personal bad guy muse, to have 'something of interest'. His shaping, so he was dragged around by this guy as a pet. (loooong story) Eventually having come home, he was quite a lot more twisted. He started shaping animals with his anti-healing and flesh-shaping powers, into what *looked* like elves, so that his tribe could hunt them. ((And as an aside I'm thinking at least one of the mad science elves ought to do that too, they'd think of it, I'm sure.)) They planted the 'elf skulls' as trophies and border markers, to their territory, on stakes, and scared people for many years.

Then, come back around 20 years later, this new batch of elves arrives. They're all young kids, (kids from my store.

) and accidentally wander through his territory in little groups. The first group, with Dare herself, and Talon and others, was accosted by Fang and his newer harem. Not only did he like hunting 'elves' for sport, goaded on by this mad dead girl, but he also liked to mate with whatever wolf-shaped elves were around. So he vastly prefers having healers, self shapers, and that kind of females to any other.

That's where we get the Greater Wolves, with elf blood. This was Veil's attempt to either punish him, or get vengeance, or something weird. But the girls that founded Dare's Valley rebelled against Fang and his people. They exposed Veil, eventually, since some of them had very strong perception-magic. And a bunch of years later, they came to the conclusion that it would be not only possible but preferable, to put Veil's errant spirit INTO a wolf body so she could at least be near her 'lover'.

... But in the mean time, and since then too, Fang has his moments. He's actually a really cool character. But ... he's all the way across the world.

... So we SHOULD have something, ... some one, maybe, that is capable of mischief and danger, but who - for story purposes - must remain *alive*.

Sent in Tetrika for the evil holt. She was originally a hydra who could take human form. Kinr's mortal enemy, blah blah blah. She wears only tight leather, preferrably the kind that shows off her ample bossom. Anything that breaths becomes the object of her lust.

Reviving this because I'm almost done with the main story.

For those newcomers who want in on my Otherforest universe, check the first post (or just read back, it's been pretty fun) and click the link to fill out your own form. Becoming an elf in my world is easy... getting out, that's the hard part. (Notice all those folks with the elves as avatars? they're mine. bwah hah hah)

Those who arrive later should also read the main story because essentially the same things will happen to them, perhaps not specifics of course, but it's a story of explanations and travel and discovery. Everyone winds up in the same place anyway.

With dragons.

And Mystic? I just had a *great* idea for Tetrika. No I haven't done characters in a couple weeks but I've been doing all that other crap. :p Once the main story is done I'll probably whip up a couple things about that rival Holt.... Not a story necessarily because that'll take too long, but just snippets.

And, be warned. With the story will come something ... different...

No, not at all. In fact I incorporate that fact into the intro story.

It'd be VERY difficult to have 60 odd arrivals right at the same time. Even in the existing current story, the group that sets out first to their new home does arrive over the course of about 3 or 4 weeks. That's okay because it gives the elves themselves time to adjust to 'being', time for them to get clothed and educated, and also me time to work up the story itself

Plus, don't hesitate to send 'friends, lovers, relatives and muses'. Just as long as I know who they belong to, and whether they're a 'real person' or not, I can put them in the right place. Enemies belong in the other holt which I'm also working on slowly but surely.

Most of them are muses/main made-up character evil/naughty types, because we need some kind of friction in the world. Otherwise it'd get kinda boring pretty quick.

And after all, Knux already lived up to his character type by springing in and bringing 'friends' here...

He'll be doing the same thing in the Otherforest...

Just for future reference? KTFE'll be in whichever holt Agate /isn't/. That indicates just how much she cares what side of the alignment-spectrum people consider her to be on!

LOL! That's going to be an interesting facet... Maybe there should be some wanderers in that area, because she TOTALLY wouldn't fit well with the bulk of the Dragonclan - they're stuffed to the brim with weird muses already.. heh.

Maybe I should just shunt ALL the mad scientists to one side where they can't bother anyone. heh. just kiddin!

) Emger would be more of a wanderer, possibly with Alynn. And I would mind if at least Alynn retains his abilities to be a wolf like Segs (the better to pick on Segs with...hee). Emger would be up to you but I have a tender spot for my Seer of Rerir.
