Whoa ... I'm on my PC finally, and I realized that your site DOES look a lot better. But I should let you know that on a mac it is absolutely unreadable, even when the text is highlighted. When I'm on my work computer I have to select all the text and copy/paste it into a text editor program just to read it at all. Thought you should know. And that's using firefox. Looks great on my PC, though.

By the by~! I changed the dragon image slightly. Before, there were stray coloured pixils congregating outside of the lineart, and i re-did the colouring layers and fixed up a few things.

so new example. And naw, the dragons won't be those exact colours, but still.

Three more days and the rest of today. I will take some after the deadline, but keep in mind that I've already, at this moment, made the pickup page with stats and everything, so if you send late candidates, they probably won't be as well matched.

All of tomarrow is left, and most of the 27th-- until I return from summerschool for the day, when I close. That'll be anywhere from 1-4 pm EST. so you have time.

I'll accept late candidates, btu don't expect them to get anything particularly interesting.

I need to ask, because it's got a link but there's absolutely no reason for it to exist: Where's Embrath from really? It's an Aneris weyr outline - jpg'd to hell, and recolored with reds and blacks. That is *not* part of any Aneris hatching - I've been there for *every single hatching* they had. She's never participated in any giveaways here, that I know of.

Where'd the dragon come from, and do they have permission to use that image at all? I'm just concerned because nothing like that has ever once come from that weyr, and the image itself is not a black-outline - meaning to me only one thing, that it's been lifted and just colored by Rachel herself. I'm not happy about that and I would just like a confirmation about where this dragon was gotten and how.

Rachael told me that he was a gift, and I took it as offered. -shrugs- I wans't around for Aneris weyr and therefore can't verify anything, but he had no pedigree or anything because he was a gift. ^^ For conformation, however, you're going to have to differ to her.

As for size.. standard pernese size. Whcih would probably qualify as big. >.> ^^; but i'll take anything.

Rhiannon of Aneris is still around as far as I know but she only posts on the Kshau board and she's only around sporadicly at best. She had a hatching ... mmm ... last winter sometime. Not too long ago.

Yes, I know, I have a green from that clutch. But I've never known *her* to actually have done a gift exchange or whatnot. I'd feel better knowing that *she* did give this dragon out. Because this was the image that was lifted for I think it was Palimor weyr's remix (somewhere between this and Wu's as I recall), that's why I am leery of it. I like him, but he's no Aneris dragon I've ever heard of. :/

And I suppose you'll have to ask her when she's on? -shrugs- X.x too old school for me. I'm not terribly skeptical, but I dunno the whole situation, having gotten here a month or so ago. :/ so I'll leave that to everyone else who knows and whatnot.

PS, if anyone wants to send candidates to this clutch but is having trouble meeting the deadline, I'll cheat. So long as you promise to get both dragon AND candidate up a week after the hatching, i'll permit you to send me minimal stats with relevent info-- name, gender, species, a few words on personality so i know with what to pair them. -nodnod-

I'm also willing to randomly generate a character for someone, like in astra's Draco Prime. -nodnod- the giveaway charatcter things. but i'd rather not do that.

I can't believe that Rachael would steal a dragon--she really doesn't seem like that kind of person to me. At the most likely, I could possibly see somebody else having taken the image and giving it to her, so that she had this accused 'stolen' image without really knowing it was stolen...

But come on, it's not like Rachael's a shadowy figure or anything, Shard. :\ I wouldn't worry about it too much.

No, I know, I just wonder at who gave it to her seeing as that was an image that was used as the base of a ripoff dragon before. :/ If it was the weyrwoman, that'd be nice to hear - I just can't see why she'd have to use a messed up version of the image, if she's got the easily uncolored versions in clean 256 color gifs. Most of the art theft I've ever seen involves a bad screenshot or saved-as-jpg version y'know'whatImean? I'm not thinking that she did it herself, but that whoever gave it away might not have had all the correct permissions. He's still cool, just... I don't know where he's from.

Yeah a lot of JCE dragons were drawn by one person and colored by another. Also that was on the Kshau forums as I recall so Rhiannon might have been involved.

It was an exchange before we were running these constantly - the "just because" exchange.

I got a couple really REALLY nice dragons out of that myself. Rilly. Rly. Ya. It's too bad the records aren't still up though. TY....TY???

And yeah that's why I request people send emails to the sites/normal email I have clutches at, because here the pm's tend to vanish given time and too many more of em.

O___. but since I thought that it was today, I will allow you to submit characters until I come back from summerschool-- so 1-4 PM EST. more likely around one. Then i close. I'll accept late characters, but I won't like to and you won't get anything good.
I'll do NPC's giveaway chars too, if people want them.

PS, Nicole~ Toss me some basic stats next time you're on for your candidates? Simple things, so i have an idea about personality and whatnot. and I'll use them in the story and you can get them up at your leisure.

Okay, twice now I've started writing this bloody story, only to have my compute rfreeze on me. >:| I was halfway done the second one, too.
Writing in general is hard and frustrating for me-- it reminds me of how much of a social idiot I am and how badly I write in the first place. That in itself is frustrating, as is the fact that i've started the damn story twice only to have it dissapear on me twice.
This is why we save things regularly. X.x

Even though it's my own fault, I am now frustrated and angry and the story, if i were to write one now, would be even worse than usual because me writing stories when angry = half assed. I'll try to find the time to write the story sometime soon, when i get de-frustrated. Sorry if I don't. Did anyone want a story specifically?

Take no offense if you dislike what you got-- i used a generator to create the dragons' collective personalities and decided what sort of people they'd go for before I even looked at the candidates, and THEN i matched people up. Fairest way, I think.

Tell me if i got anyone wrong or repeated names or anything~ And there are two NPC's total.

welcomes~ and ad current they're just fillers. In the future they may have arts, but since I have no generic anthro lineart, they're out of luck. X.x what you do with them since you get them is up to you. ^^; But yeah, basically fillers, unless you decide to actually do things with them~~ ^^
