No, you haven't missed anything. I have had a serious case of jello-brain that's lasted a bit too long for my tastes. I haven't written much of anything in ... months? I managed to get Uthnath and Narwyn's clutch out, but yeah. No writing inspiration.

Drawing, on the other hand... Yes.

Flurry Pairings (A link, in the off chance you don't want to know who flew who quite yet.)

Note: I'm expanding on the Topic, and setting up a few rules. I'll post these here, and on the soon-to-exist Flurry 05 base page. Snow is required in all Candidate/Novo/Bonder stories. It's not difficult -- It's winter at Ryslen.

...Ye gods, the Flurry site is a mess. >.<

There's no limit on how many people you can -send-.

It's just that it's really hard to work with a story with twelve people in it -- you don't get to know -any- of them, unless it's a godforsaken novel.

I'm -==really really==- happy with the drawings of this year's dragons (the ones I have done) and there really isn't going to be any "generic" blah dragons to hand out to less than well-written candidates.

That probably came out wrong.

Hey everybody: If you feel your writing isn't up to whatever invisible standard you think Ryslen has... you're still entirely welcome to send bonders and stuff. I just have a strong -need- to get a good feel for a bonder. Stat pages help (though they can be a bit dry) and stories that show off their talents and flaws are great. Feel free to IM/PM/Email me if you want to talk about this.

I got the same as you Xalia... Mirus has snow for over half the year, and the place my Candidate comes from has snow ALL year, at least two feet deep. I've been plotting the story all day...

As long as snow is in the story, it doesn't actually have to actually -snow- during the story. One year, there was a story that only had --one-- flake of snow in it... until they got to Ryslen, of course.

Don't worry, it will be like last time, where the other group members are supporting cast, but different stories center around different people.

Okay, so the writing of the flight has stalled again, but the list is up to 29 "normal" dragon pairs... I'm still toying with the Minis.

So that means we're up to 58 Flurry babies! Yay!

If your Novo (Candidate/Bonder) is done, read over Ryslen's rules (which badly badly need revision!) especially #1, 2, 5, 7, 8, 11, and 13
submit him/her/it to me via email ( to ryslen_flurry@yahoo.com please!! ) and include the following information:

Your
- name:
- email:

Novo's
- name:
- gender:
- species and/or place of origin:

- Dragon preferences (color, name, gender, parentage, etc.)

((I kindof feel bad about running the Flurry from this corner of the Forum... but at least it's getting run, right?))

I'm actually working on my two candidates at this very moment

:Edit: is there a max page limit? I'm up to 4 pages, not including stats, and I think there will be at least 1-2 more before I get to Ryslen. They aren't super long pages, but I'd like to know if I should shorten things up

I don't think there are any contradictions between them though, so it should be okay...

No, there isn't a page limit. I trust that everybody knows where the split between very long and stupidly-overboard long is.

Bryotev: For the moment, I have what I need from him... but if you could PM me his page url (so that I know where to quickly find it when I start updating the pages again) that'd be great.

Ryslen dragons will bond to anything, I think. My requirement is (and has been for a while) that the bonders be able to ride on or fly with the dragon they bond. Ryslen is an equal-opportunity hatchery... as long as the thing is sentient. Plants and toasters probably shouldn't become dragonriders, y'know? (Yes, I know there have been -plants- that bonded dragons... but not -at- Ryslen.)

Deadline... deadline... Let's shoot for January 31st as the Novo application deadline. Gives me time to work on the writing and the coloring.

Four weeks... I can finish Rashilo in that time, I think... I have the whole story planned out. The only downside is I can't write when I'm tired, and I'm very tired right now... Stupid work... if I wanted to do manual labour I'd have got a job as a farm hand or construction worker...
