The Nexus

@Aressaun let us know if you need a new log-in activation or anything! I know it's been a looooong time, but I stumbled over some adopts for you from way back when, and was wondering if life was treating you well in the interim!

Aaaand we have Shard back in the discord (lol, for a while now, but I'm coming to the forum only rarely anyways!) Figured I'd close the loop for when we're next back here.

Ah Shard, I just got your email! I'm sorry to hear that there's been a pain in the butt here! I'll let everyone on the discord know what is up and flag that you're here in the meantime!

Hi all! Though we currently have a discord group (Please ping any of the mods for an invite) this is a quick check-in to let you know the forums still exist! Please let us know if you need anything or would like to see anything here.

Take care, and happy autumn!

Hi Molly, we hope you're doing okay! Just wanted to put a flag up here in case you're stuck, feel free to reach out.

Hi DNS! If you're around again and want to update Hades Beasts, I've added the info from the first page to our Nexus wiki: http://nexusdragonpedia.wikidot.com/species:hades-beast -- some of the info is left as the default template and could use your say on details. Thank you again for these cool bea...

I'm so sad I missed this, @DNS! I was falling hard off of dragoning at the time but I ADORE what you did with Taursius' spawn! If you ever come back and want to make some more (and still have the template, etc. etc.) I would adore one of his. I'd also love to get a backlog of your other plant-hydras...

Apologies for the necro-post! Bumping this to the top for ease of re-finding.

Sorry to hear that things were a mix of bad vibes, Yakima! If anything's coming up that you'd like to see stopped in the future, I think the community had agreed on a pineapple emote to discreetly ask a convo be paused or taken to DM's or something. Long stories are tough on a few folks in the commu...

I hope things have been going well in the last year, Houka Ryuu! I've abandoned abandoning dragons (we're all old and tired) so there's no time limit on re-paging anything from Star City or the BWR generational project, or any other things I've made. The only caveat is that if you're 'done' with a d...

If you're wishing the Nexus was back in full force, it's probably not going to be loud and proud on the forums anymore, but there are a couple of places you can join in on the activities again: Trello Board (for upcoming flights, frenzies, clutches): https://trello.com/b/fBkUtsgW/nexus-of-dragons Di...

Same here! I had gotten stuck with a broken password for a couple of years, then migrated over to the discord channel. Just catching up on everything on the forums I have been missing for the last decade and probably necro-ing a few threads... don't mind me!

Still here. Most of the Nexus has moved over to a community discord server paired with a trello board to keep track of upcoming flights, clutches, and frenzies. The last couple of years have seen a resurgence of folks, so if you've got the nostalgia wants, we're around. <3

Just a heads-up that the records for this frenzy have been revived and are being kept here in the Pickup Page , and once updated, we'll have a quick bonding listing under each set of parents. I hope that helps! An early update here, too! I'll soon be taking in a new wave of candidates/novos for this...

Heart has a new link (from Hearth x Obscurity into Infinity's clutch): http://www.nexusofdragons.com/dray/Adop ... Railyd.htm

Very belated, but my Zalan Ramnir is now paged! http://www.nexusofdragons.com/dray/Adop ... /Zalan.htm

Thank you again!

PS: Whenever you wind up making a new genetic code, I'm happy to translate it over. It's just nice to get things paged that have been sitting for a good long time.

That's fantastic, thank you very much! I have Timekeeper up here, by the way! http://www.nexusofdragons.com/dray/Adoptions/CHARS/Timekeeper.htm It looks like he came from a proper clutch at the time, though I didn't see their sibs in the database so I added that clutch request to the tab for later. ...

Fo sho! Just out of curiosity as I'm considering having him in a half-Pernese clutch somewhere along the line.

Thank you! I have some genetics that came with him! Can you let me know what these would translate to? (I didn't see a tab for Spellweaver genetics yet!) XY RG Hh Bb Mm SS If it helps, his listed colour is Antique Gold, and his dam is Copper Redmoon (from your pages -- is she up anywhere?) and Brass...

Hi Yakima! I noticed you had some risers looking for chasers so I've been going through my various bronzey boys! I came across a spellweaver in my unpaged folder (at least by the info I have saved with him) but the info in the Wiki is different sounding from the image I have, here: http://www.nexuso...

I completely agree... I'm trying to find some shred of desire to join in on the deviantart stuff right now and I keep walking away in frustration. Applying points and legit dollars to adoptables is fine, and I get it, but the mad scramble and the re-selling of old characters feels so alien to me. Wh...

They should know things like this can happen! Oh well, at least you know you've got a solid inbox to work through for the day.

Oh my GOD I started responding to your message and wound up with this massive addled wall of text on 'oh this would be cool, but if X, then would Y be the case?'........ I think it got to like 1000 words before I decided to save a draft and back away until I'm less flustercucked by my cold. It was a...

Less a frustration and more just 'I am so over this right now' haha!

I'm glad your project pushed through! I hope it's a beaut!

That makes sense! I'm working in a place where I'm tangentially connected to Stibo STEP for database stuff as well as a web ops team who likes to think ahead. They're all VERY good about staying focused and setting deadlines for 'must have's and 'that's nice but later' and 'we've done user testing a...

Understandable! The only reason I shut down what I've got was because I wasn't actively using it and someone came around asking about making candidates at a really bad time for me, and when they wouldn't take 'sorry, no' I didn't want to have to spend time combing all my repositories to ensure they ...

I'm glad you've grown so much, Starfyre. ;u; I was only just now realizing how shit it is to code all these tables by hand, let alone get them searchable or sortable. That sounds like a fun project! Was it for completely random characters, or could you plug a few traits in and have it work around th...

Sorry for the wait, Starfyre, I've come down with a throat infection over the weekend and have been pretty MIA. I'll have to wait until next weekendish I think. Dreamhost was fine, but when my FTP program, Filezilla, began acting wonky, I decided I wasn't using the site for much so I decided to clos...

I used to have a basic run-down of all the species I knew of back when I ran Star City, but I've since hopped several computers without a reliable backup drive, so I've lost a lot. I'm glad you two have kept your work up! It'd be so nice to have a representative image and the corresponding species t...
