In Character Notes

These dragons possess immortality akin to that of a phoenix with its ritual immolation and rebirth. They must find and build a pyre of myrrh branches (as well as components of their element, if they possess one different from carbon,) upon which to be reborn. These dragons can be fatally wounded or die of old age if they do not have the necessary pyre to perform their rebirth ritual.



Abilities

Mental

Psionics: The dragon has control over feats of the mind, such as teleportation (moving from place to place instantly), telepathy (speaking mind to mind) and telekinesis (manipulating objects with the mind).
Telepathy: The dragon can speak mind to mind within an extended radius.

Physical

Accelerated Healing: The dragon can recover from wounds at a vastly accelerated rate -- they would need to be cleanly decapitated in order to be outright killed.
Grant Temporary Invulnerability: Another being can be granted accelerated healing to the point of invulnerability for up to a week if the dragon sheds tears over them, caused by real distress or sorrow. The tears can not bring the dead back to life, but can bring back to health a being who is near the brink of death.
Long Lifespan: The dragons lifespan is extended up to 500 years, barring accident or illness.
Shapeshifting (Human-Dragon Spectrum): The dragon can shift from it's normal form to that of a human, though its skin is the same colour as its fur and its hair and eyes mimick some other colour on its body.
Shifting (Unlimited): The dragon has unlimited control over what it can shift its appearance to. This extends to size-shifting, as well.
Verbal Speech: The dragon can speak out loud.

Elemental

Limited Destruction Powers: The dragon has very limited control over the ability to break things down into their component parts. The destruction is usually minor, and may occur outside of the dragons control.
Temperature Control: The dragon can raise or lower the ambient temperature within its vicinity.

Magical

Functional Magic: The dragon produces magic in a raw state that it can use to substitute large portions of its diet as well as extend its age. Excess magic can be spun into spells.
Immortality (Phoenix): The dragon has the ability to live forever, though every one hundred years they must return to their birth-place to be reborn on a nest of branches gathered for a specific kind of tree. If they do not perform this ritual pyre building and self-immolation, they will die permanently.
