Appearance: |
Trakaz belongs to a race of anthropomorphic wolves that originally lived on Malnev. As such, he's covered in a thick coat of earth-toned fur that is somewhat responsive to the seasons. In heavy cold, his winter coat shows more whites and creams. In heat, his summer coat takes on more browns.
Trakaz wears very little, save a contraption to both cover his modesty and to carry a few necessary items. He also wears a leather strap over one shoulder to sling a bear-skull pauldron into place, a symbol of authority from his old tribe.

Personality: |
Trakaz followed a few pups from his old territory when a wayward youth, Kalnaz, returned after over a year away with a fantastic beast called a dragon. Having beguiled a number of other Wolves to come off-world with him, Trakaz admitted curiosity... but also, when he convened with other elders, he admitted he was worried about them. He volunteered to go with the others, to keep track of them, to ensure they didn't lose their ways (at best) or get devoured (as the elders agreed was more likely.)
Trakaz was, in his previous life, an arbitor for his tribe. He listened to problems that arose from the complicated relationships and dynamics of his people, and he weighed them against the needs of the group as a whole. Usually, if a problem came to Trakaz, it was as a last resort. Nobody wanted to have them pick them apart and bare their secrets for all to see, and Trakaz was prone to revealing all. He didn't do it to damage his tribe; on the contrary, he believes that bringing secrets to light is the only way for the harmful ones to be healed from. The benign ones need only be accepted, and the Wolv who possessed them would feel more accepted, too.
So it is in his current life at the Nidus, watching humanoids and their dragons, learning of their cultures, and understanding how his own people will fit into things in the long-run. He wants to ensure that they aren't taken over by Nidus Descendi's higher ethos of protecting the lands from evil-- which is good, in and of itself, but is not always how things play out in practice, he knows-- and that they can always find their way back to Malnev's ways.
