Appearance: |
Kalnaz is roughly teenaged for his kind, aging a little earlier than a human would. He stands at an already impressive 6'5" tall and isn't done growing yet, though he's yet to fill in to his full bulk. In fact, Kalnaz is not likely to ever be a particularly heavy hitter; he's a wiry lad with coarse black fur that has a few white patches across his chest, neck and snout.
Because of his fur, Kalnaz doesn't feel the need to wear much, even in the colder months at the Nidus, which can easily drop below freezing. He wears a loin cloth for modesty, and occasionally carries a pack in lieu of pockets, but he doesn't really care for adornments and has never acquired much of his own in any case.
Besides his fur, Kalnaz is set apart from a regular human by his digitigrade legs, wolf-like tail, and equally wolfy head. Some have called him a Wolf Furry, though that's probably denigrating. He's pretty adamant about correcting people; Wolven folk originate from Malnev and are a very specific race and culture, after all. The fact that he's been chosen to travel the Nexus means that he takes his role as explorer and guide very seriously.

Personality: |
Kalnaz was chosen among his pack to leave home and go as far as he could possibly reach from his home to learn the ways of outsiders and, eventually, bring back a boon from a far land. However, his people didn't know quite how far Kalnaz would go, being relatively isolated from the rest of the Nexus at the time. At the age of six, Kalnaz managed to hitch a ride on dragon-back all the way to Nidus Descendi, where he has spent the last couple of years learning about humans, dragons, and the various strange worlds that all of these have come from.
More recently yet, he's decided the boon he wants to return home with is a dragon, but not just any. A dragon from the wintery wastes would suit him and his home best, and so he's hitched a ride to Nidus Ryslen, chasing the tail of a rumour of Flurriers with snow permanently marked upon their skin.
