All things considered, Suletu'kee is just about exactly what Therque's fathers wanted for their children, however much she might have rattled some scales on the way in. Therque may not have bonded her, but he accepts her challenge just the same, for he is the child that questions himself the very most of all the clutch. There may have been no "ranking" among them but he is not unaware that, given his appearance, he will be perceived to have one. There is a temper in him, ever simmering, but his fathers do not want him to give into it and he does not want to disappoint them. In fact, he's almost too serious, afraid to be too relaxed or to have too much fun, for fear of how he might be perceived if he's anything less than the epitome of careful self-control.
Because of this, he is often prone to seething when his mentor tests him, and has grown nothing if not more stoic as he's aged. He has grown more resentful of the Arx Atra Mons Beast stereotype from having lived near enough to an Arx to observe their petty squabbles with neighbouring Niduses. While he can't say that their reputation is entirely un-earned, he feels it more important-- even urgent-- to see others of his kind that do not give in to carnage and chaos. He would find adherents to the cool logic of reason, and the warm touch of compassion for others... though how to go about this, he isn't yet sure. |
