Tarin is an imposing woman in terms of height and sheer mass. She still has various Star City body modifications that add physical bulwarks that allow her to lift up to ten times her weight with ease, and a small battery implant that can raise a force shield against explosives. Her head is modified with sound-dampening devices around the ears as well as a cybertronic implant over part of her head and one eye. It gives her a super-soldier look, and though she once participated in freeing the station from its tyrant overlord, she hasn't belonged to any kind of militant organization since. Well, if you don't count Nidus Descendi as a militant organization. Maybe she is a part of a pseudo-military, but she does her best to dress and style herself to suit her personal, civilian tastes.
Tarin has warm brown skin that is heavily freckled. Her hair, black and straight, reaches a little longer than her ear on one side and is bare where her metallic implant plates cover the other, but she keeps it back in a short tail most of the time anyways. She has an unnervingly pale pink eye with glowing red dots interlaced through the matrix of her iris. These are of course further implants. Her cybernetic implant on the other side is a sleek conglomerate of metallic-looking bands with a low red glow behind them.
Tarin has several piercings that serve no other purpose than cosmetic: she keeps a tag-like earring in one lobe, and several eyebrow and nose piercings that are somewhat inconspicuous against the rest of her gear. She keeps an uncharacteristic locket in a brassy colour on her at all times. Within is a holophoto of her family.
Tarin dresses in Neon colours, a hold-over from her days as a demolition expert. She knows more than anyone that being spotted can save lives in a disaster, and it's a hard habit to shake, even now that the worst of Star City's destruction is behind her.

Personality: |
Tarin is gruff and friendly, and is more subdued these days than she used to be when she worked at the space station that was her home. She's still got a passionate streak, most of which she pours into her large family and into her work helping to carve out niduluses for dragons to live in.
When she first bonded Gatica, Tarin was in training to become a security worker for the then tyrant ruler of Star City. She and many of her cohort were still in training when the fighting that overthrew that rulership went down, and though both Gatica and Tarin were quite young, they decided to throw their lot in with the freedom fighters rather than the ruling class, having secretly expressed their desires for something more.
The violence left a scar on them both, one that they found could be worked out with a kind of controlled chaos that came from working in (and eventually becoming extremely good at) demolitions. The pair eventually found their niche and grew into a larger family when Tarin met her late husband, Nimish Shooli, a station botanist. Passionate with one another, this naturally led to a large family, which Tarin found a renewed purpose in living for.
Not too long after, Gatica was the target of an unsavory attack on the Flight deck, leading to a clutch of unwanted offspring. Contrasting with Tarin's own brood of young children, it put their relationship at a strain... but Gatica eventually came around and began to treat Tarin's children as her own.
Disaster struck the entire station when the youngest of Tarin's brood was still a toddler and the eldest was a young teen. Her husband died early as the spread of xenodragons across the station exploded, but Tarin and Gatica were able to safely ferry their children to an escape pod. Tarin fled with her children, while Gatica remained behind. "For revenge," she said.
Tarin doesn't know what happened during the time that Gatica was away, as it was the first time in a long time that her dragon closed her mind off completely to her. When Gatica finally pulled herself, acid-pocked and shredded, in with the last of the escapees at Nidus Descendi, Tarin knew she could never ask.
Since then, the pair have spent a long time recovering, though Tarin hasn't taken up any new relationships, and her and Gatica's relationship to this day remains a little tentative.
