Lara is a petite woman with a triathlete's build, though in the last few years she hasn't been keeping as rigorous a physical routine as she used to. She has dark skin and black hair, kept pulled into a tight bun most of the time. She likes to wear practical clothing, though since moving to Nidus Descendi that means less extreme sports and dangerous exploration, and more riding leathers with the braids of authority that come with running a Nidus.
Lara is practical and evocative in appearance and works hard to maintain that. She has a few body modifications from her stint working at Star City, but few are cosmetic. The only change that seems meant purely for aesthetics comes from some augmentation of her lips, which are more full than you'd expect on someone of her face shape. The rest are meant to help her survive hard falls, extreme weather, poor nutrition, and other dangers with being lost on the surface of a hostile planet. |

Lara was one of the last to leave Star City, though she wasn't part of the security teams attempting to evacuate survivors of the combined attacks by space pirates and the explosive infestation of xenomorphs that had taken root there.
Instead, Lara and Shotgun sheparded a handful of foolish, extremely wealthy 'big game hunters' through the rapidly changing situation to enjoy a chance to come face to face with one of the most dangerous beasts in the Nexus, and get a chance to bring a part of one home.
The experience was one of her finest guided tours to date, but it was also her last. Shotgun was injured, much of her customers were killed (and thank goodness that she had had them sign extensive waivers before they arrived), and Lara was left with the feeling of being fed up with the foolishness of humanity hoping to play with the fire of dangerous species and even more dangerous environments.
She joined Nidus Descendi late, but her expertise in survival, along with Shotgun's boisterous voice, allowed her to take her place among other leaders there. Her first-hand experience with xenodragons and other dangerous beasts has also put her in a prime position to strategize defense of the Nidus against Arx Infusco's seething pit of xenobeasts and other fell creatures. |
