Wyrith is the butterfly to Niren's book-moth. She, too, has an insatiable curiosity and a natural wisdom to make apt educated guesses. Where Niren's passion lies in the past, however, Wyrith's lies in the present. She talks, and listens, and sometimes she eavesdrops. She has an aptitude for drawing conclusions about the Nidus and the world at large from her daily samplings of small talk and gossip that help her hear what isn't spoken.
Moreover, Wyrith is quite passionate about Niren's health and safety, and she is driven by this to make connections that many traditionally of her station might not consider. She befriends the dragons of riders who might give Niren a hand in his studies. She's even managed to befriend some of the overseeing body of the Nidus with her youthful charm and clever mentions.
Though at the moment she appears to be entirely a team player, there is not a moment she would waste if Nidus Descendi were to fall in snatching Niren and fleeing. Wyrith is not a coward, but she has learned enough about the foes that the Nidus faces that she does not trust everyone to prevail. She is not a fighter, though she will likely spend most of her life running errands and helping do drills with Wings that need a spot filled. In that respect, she has also made friends with Niren's parents' local whers, such that should she ever need to take Niren home, she has somewhere to stay until any turmoil passes.
