Meret is a studious girl who seems older than her years, partially because her wardrobe looks rooted in the styles more expected on an elder. She is almost always carrying a pad or tablet, and though she is not afraid of making friends, she does have trouble with keeping them. She likes to study math and dimensional puzzles, and has surprised her foster aunties and uncles with her blossoming passion for architecture. Some have said that Meret thinks more like a dragon than a human-- and that is usually not meant as an insult. In her case, it's like she has a preemptive spacial understanding that is extremely fine-tuned.

She has always been a delight to take aboard during flights, and was therefore admitted a year early into the Novo program, though thirteen is (usually) considered the lower threshold. Even so, she was clever about researching her options. When she heard of Nidus Aven's Verdigris parents, she asked to be sent to the newfounded Nidus straight away. "If I'm going to become a draconar, I want to become a draconar with a dragon who understands me," she told her mother.
