| Appearance: |
Iselfleya looks mostly human, save for her pointed ears and the patches of bright red (a little like vitiligo markings) that cover her entire body. Her hair is unnaturally white for her young age thanks to Askan Asandus genes somewhere in her pedigree. Also thanks to her diluted Askan genes, Iselfleya can expect to look young far longer than any of her peers, for she is expected to live at least twice as long as your average human.
This is a refined young woman who holds herself with poise and grace. She does her best to give a commanding presence, though she's still learning the finer balance between coming on too strong and being directionlessly enthusiastic.

Iselfleya comes from a family of mostly human residents who go back for generations around Nidus Novalux, a few of whom actually served on the Leadership council during times of crisis. Though Iselfleya's parents are not nobility of a sort, nor does Novalux operate under a feudal system, the girl is proud of her heritage and grew up on stories of how her great grandparents raised the Nidus up from bare earth and timber, and survived through nearly 200 years trapped in the Mists unable to contact the rest of the Nexus.
She's fiercely patriotic about Novalux, thinking about the utopian freedoms of the people living in the Nidus and the surrounding valley today. Her siblings actually tease her for it. Because 'Fleya doesn't have any close friends, and has always had trouble attracting them, she's grown up shy and demuring, though this is a mask to cover her endless eager overpreparation.
Up until very recently, she was being held back among her class of novos. She would often step up for Gold eggs-- that is, the offspring of dragons considered most likely for leadership qualities, but she was never picked. She was heartbroken and feeling a little bit betrayed for some time, until the mists of the Nidus pulled back and revealed a world much changed from what her forebears remembered.
Iselfleya soon came into contact with Search Riders and a network of other Niduses and dragon-homes, which led her to sign on for a clutch of nearly extinct Myrmex dragon eggs. She wasn't sent alone; she and one other Novo were paired up to trial a program with the Refugium, which netted her not only a bond, but several-- and a committment (quite literally in the form of a shared bond) with her rival.
Having bonded a Queen Myrmex, Iselfleya and her little pod of hatchlings lived aboard the Refugium for some time before eventually deciding to return to lands just outside the old boundary of the mists that had isolated the Nidus. Her Queen has, for reasons that she believes are altruistic, partnered up with another, similarly endangered insectoid creature to help carve out a niche for their shared survival.
Iselfleya is charmed and a little overwhelmed with all the work needed to create a Hive from scratch, but she does her best with directing her bonds and her new friends in how to coexist peacefully with the Nidus that is not all that far away.
