Allira is tiny person built a little bit like a gymnast; she has to be, to fit through some of the spaces she likes to travel. She has pale skin, with dark hair and eyes, and is more often than not giving a bright grin to those around her. Her clothing is pretty simple, undyed cloth that is usually covered in a layer of dust or mud despite her best efforts to keep things clean.
What's interesting about Allira on the off chance one catches her on her day-to-day is that she can tote a magnificently oversized backpack, and she hefts this beast like it's a bundle of sticks. It isn't. She carries camping, climbing and spelunking gear with her to and from her family's stake in the desert every week, coming in to town with a few coworkers and extended family only to restock on supplies, or to sell off big finds. She has hidden strengths, and maybe that's why she's quick with a confident grin despite her small stature.

Personality: |
Before she was selected as an Aspirant to travel to Castle Timara, Allira was one of the younger members of the opal-hunting bands that work out of Caboolerie, a small town to the west of the mountains that Castle Timara is set up in. She was an easy choice for the job: ever since she was a youngster, Allira could be found monkeying in the trees of the small port town, and her parents and grandparents were both in the same trade and had taught her all they knew about underground travel and what to look for in a good gem.
Despite her family's business, Allira actually enjoys caving more than she does in hunting precious stones. When she does find a vein, invariably it seems to be a clear substance that reflects light only through two planes, but is cloudy on the rest. Her family's dubbed her the 'crystal girl' for that reason, and Allira doesn't mind it.
She makes some earnings on the side by taking adventurous folk around the island and beyond on relatively safe jaunts through the already explored portions of her family's stake, and has set up a good side-hustle by ending her tours in the piles of discarded stone that very occasionally throw chips of lower-grade opal that hadn't been worth her family's time. This is, in fact, how she was searched as an Aspirant; one of the drak knights sent from Timara was distracted and came along on her tour, and noted that Allira was built well for riding, with a good constitution for potential danger.
Allira isn't sure what to make of becoming a knight. It's an honour and her family is glad for her... but it does mean she'll be up in open air instead of crammed into new hidden tunnels in the ground. She's not sure if she's going to like that.
