Ability Pool & Glossary
Assisted Breath Weapon (Fire) The ability to breathe out fire after chewing a phosphine-bearing mineral called firestone. Breath Weapon (Fire) The ability to breathe out a gout of fire. Breath Weapon (Icy Air) The ability to breathe out a freezing gout of air cold enough to cause hypothermia. Cyclic Earth Affinity A natural alignment with the element of earth. Bears metal, produced by fire, stabilized by wood, directs water. (Merit limit: Yellow primary color only.) Cyclic Fire Affinity A natural alignment with the element of fire. Produces earth, strengthened by wood, dampened by water, refines metal. (Merit limit: Red primary color only.) Cyclic Metal Affinity A natural alignment with the element of metal. Collects water, produced by earth, refined by fire, carves wood. (Merit limit: White primary color only.) Cyclic Water Affinity A natural alignment with the element of water. Nourishes wood, collected by metal, directed by earth, regulates fire. (Merit limit: Black primary color only.) Cyclic Wood Affinity A natural alignment with the element of wood. Feeds fire, nourished by water, carved by metal, stabilizes earth. (Merit limit: Blue/green primary color only.) Immortality Possession of eternal life and youth, so as to never die of old age. Necromancy The ability to wield magic related to death, spirits, and the dead. Reality Warping (Weak) The ability to rearrange the structure of reality to suit their own desires in a localized area. The natural rules of existence will gradually reassert themselves if their altered state is not maintained on a daily basis. Shapeshifting (Anthro) The ability to shapeshift into an anthropomorphic version of oneself. Shapeshifting (Anthro/Faun/Quad/Taur) The ability to shapeshift through a spectrum of forms that encompasses anthropomorphic (human sized), faun (more monstrous biped), quadrupedal (classic draconic bauplan), and taur (their natural form). At times they can also assume forms well outside this spectrum (such as ordinary human) but they cannot hold the form for more than a day, whereas their spectrum forms are permanent until willed otherwise. Sizeshifting The ability to change one's physical size. Song Magic The ability to cast a variety of magic through song. Speak to Birds The ability to understand and be understood by any bird. Speed Magic The ability to wield magic related to changing the speed of objects, others, or themselves, such as quickening their own movement or forcing another into slow-motion. Reaction times are unaffected. Telekinesis The ability to move and manipulate objects with the mind. Teleportation The ability to teleport anywhere within sight or that can be strongly visualized in the mind. Water & Weather Control The ability to control bodies of water and rain-related forms of weather in a large, localized area. Wingless Flight The ability to fly without the use or need of wings.
