Ability Pool & Glossary
Avengaean Functional Magic A wide-ranging ability to wield magic to just about any practical purpose. Though innate, practice is necessary to become truly skilled. Breath Weapon (Fire) The ability to breathe out a gout of fire. Breath Weapon (Flaming Acid) The ability to breathe out a spray of ignited, corrosive acid. Breath Weapon (Frost) The ability to breathe out a blast of freezing wind and ice. Color-related Elemental Breath The ability to breathe out an elemental attack related to one's colors. Color-related Elemental Magic The ability to cast elemental magic related to one's colors. Healing Tears The possession of tears that, if shed with true distress or sorrow, can grant accelerated healing when they fall onto the body of another. They cannot bring the dead back to life, but a being on the brink of death can be brought back to full health. This healing effect can last for up to a week and causes injuries to mend so quickly that it is functional invulnerability. Limited Destruction Powers The ability to cause minor acts of destruction around themselves, sometimes uncontrolled. Plane-Shifting The ability to shift between the various planes of existence and cross into dimensions separated from the Nexus by more than mere space and time. Psionics The ability to use mental-based powers such as telekinesis, telepathy, and teleportation. Rapid Regeneration When injured, this creature's wounds immediately begin to close. They would need to be cleanly decapitated in order to be outright killed. Reincarnating Immortality via Pyre and Self-Immolation The possession of eternal life, though every one hundred years they must return to their birth-place to burn and be reborn on a nest of branches gathered from a specific kind of tree. If they do not perform this ritual pyre building and self-immolation, they will die forever. Reincarnating Immortality Should this creature die from any cause, they will reincarnate (bodily regenerate) into an egg and begin their lifecycle anew. They retain only vague memories of past lives. Shapeshifting (Dragon-Human Spectrum) The ability to shapeshift to any form between human and dragon shapes, the former tending to retain the coloration of the latter. Shapeshifting (Human) The ability to shapeshift into a human form that maintains their natural coloration. Teleportation The ability to teleport anywhere within sight or that can be strongly visualized in the mind. Wind Magic The ability to wield magic related to currents of air.
