Tall and regal, Luther has the look of a classic heraldic griffin to him, being bald eagle from the waist up and African lion below that. He takes after his lion half in build across both his aspects, being very muscular, though not at bodybuilder proportions.

Every bit as regal as the stereotypical lion, Luther is a charismatic and well-respected leader. He's an ex-military man and it shows in the way he treats his subordinates far more like troops than like lesser officers, but he does it in such a way that makes it clear he is proud and fond of his men, rather than just ordering them around for the sake of being the boss. His rank is well-earned and he treats it with respect. Despite his nobility of character and attitude, he remains approachable and is liked as much as he's respected.
