Jaman and his bond are just two peas in a pod. Like called to like in his case, so he has all the pride it takes to keep up with a woman like Carlene and then some. He definitely has a take-charge attitude about life, to the point that he doesn't take orders well just on principle. This tends to get him in trouble, including with Carlene herself, but he doesn't show any sign of changing.
