Eric C. Leron
"I prefer the Music of the Stars, myself."
Name:Eric Charles Leron
Age:40
Sex:Male
Species:Human
Height:6'4"
Residence:Nidus Caeligenus
Occupation:Mechanic / Stage Technician
Description:

Affectionately called "The Phantom" by fellow theatre patrons, Eric is a striking figure of a man. He stands a full four inches over six feet and has a lithely handsome body, well-built from the strength necessary for moving large props and pieces of scenery. He does, however, have the pallor of one who has neither seen the sun nor received sunlight treatments. His hair is a striking white-blonde even paler than his skin, and his eyes too are pale, a faded sky blue.

His nickname is owed to an injury sustained during a misfire of a stage-effect during a production. A fire-jet meant to provide ambience during a production of the popular Angel in Hell malfunctioned, engulfing the right side of Eric's body in flame. He survived the blast and was rushed to a hospital, but the burns he sustained could not be repaired -- at least not within his financial means. The hospital had the ability to recreate his charred skin, but Eric did not have the money to pay for such a procedure, and refused to take charity from those that offered it.

Now Eric wears a mask on the right side of his face, and though it is made of space-age polymers rather than the plastic and leather of the original Phantom's mask, it still has the same white death's-head appearance. Rather than splurge on a skin-mimicking mask, he purchased the theatre-style one to accept and even flaunt his disfigurement. He always wears high-necked and long-sleeved shirts with a leather glove on his right hand. With his full "disguise" in place, only a little of his burn-scarred skin can be seen around his hairline and jawline.

Personality:

Eric is a quiet but friendly fellow, much loved by those that work with him. He has been as much a fixture in the theatre as the lights and stage for seventeen years, so plenty of the newer employees cannot even imagine him not being around. He is gentle and soft-spoken, possessing a rich tenor of a voice that frequently has people begging him to join the theatre chorus. Having no desire to work on the stage, however, Eric remains happily where he is behind the scenes, keeping the gears of the theatre machine running with as few hitches as possible. He prefers to live life in a supporting role to others, and has no desire to be center-stage in anything -- he wouldn't even celebrate his own birthday if his friends didn't insist on it.

Some mistake his subdued nature for melancholy, which couldn't be further from the truth. He is perfectly happy with the simplicity of his life, and wouldn't have it other way. For him, living in the Theatre's "attic" and being known only to its employees and regular patrons is the perfect life, and there is nothing about it he would wish changed.
