About the only things that physically separates Cavi from a true orangutan are her upright bipedal stance, her more humanoid proportions, and clothes. Otherwise, she is physically identical to one of the great apes. The red-orange hair covering most of her head and body has been dyed with bright blue stripes, and she has oddly-colored (though natural) eyes: the left is yellow and the right is orange. She enjoys brightly colored clothes that often power clash, usually along the lines of tanktops and shorts, since her hair offers her significant coverage anyway. She's always barefoot, too, to take advantage of her dextrous feet.

Wild and spirited, but also very intelligent, Cavi is an individual that many have trouble keeping up with. Some call her crazy, but in a bewildered smile and shake-of-the-head way: "That Cavi, she's crazy!" Though entirely a civilized creature, she takes perfect advantage of her tree-swinging heritage to clamber all over the buildings of the Nidus for repairs and maintenance that are harder for the less-agile workers to reach. She appears to have a reckless kind of fun while she's at it, too, given her daring leaps and swings from place to place, but let it be known her employment record is quite clear of any incidents with her at fault. Accidents, sure, those happen, but she has never been found responsible for anything that's gone wrong.
