Most people call Bhalla mad for doing what she does; fewer call her brave. The truth is she is very smart and very experienced, and that's enough to get the job done. Supremely confident in her skills, as she has a right to be, she doesn't back down. She doesn't meet new people often, but that's fine with her; she's sort of a loner by nature anyway.

Bhalla happens to live right next to a forest that was warped by a spell-storm; it contains both dangerous creatures never seen before and wonderous things that cannot be found anywhere else. Bhalla hunts them both, and she is very successful at it, where few others are. As a result, she is very rich, and also looked at with a mixture of awe and fear by the other residents of the town. Hosting a dragon just makes her stand out even more, not that she cares.
