Recruit young dragons while they still know everything. That philosophy is how Vector drew Vogue into his orbit. The young silkwing is sharp, opinionated, and unapologetically disrespectful, operating on the bleeding edge of relevance and information with little concern for who gets cut. Like many young creatures, however, she can be lured into periods of distraction or complacency -- or at least, that is how the situation is framed when justifying her need for a guiding influence.
In reality, Vogue is intensely self-motivated. What she lacks is not drive, but position: she occupies the uncomfortable space between promise and power, capable but not yet fully established on her own terms. She generally likes Vector, or at least finds him a useful mentor, but her patience for his narcissism is finite. There are moments when she quietly evaluates how much of him she is willing to tolerate before deciding whether he remains a partner, or becomes a stepping stone.
