Name:Grig
Age:Doesn't know for sure (but he's outlived seven Masters)
Sex:Male
Species:Bodhi
Height:1'6"
Residence:Liune
Occupation:Familiar
Abilities:
Familiar
Bodhi hail from the Alter-Realm, the parallel of Liune's material plane, and as such have access to the flows of magic that humans cannot access on their own. Bodhi that are summoned as familiars bond to a single mage and open up the means for that mage to cast spells with the energies their familiar channels to them.
Description:

Grig is a small, unimpressive creature, of the variety of Bodhi that mages refer to as "imps". His head is almost too big for his thin, scrawny body, and his clawed hands and feet are comically large. There's something rather "old man" to his appearance, perhaps in his cleft chin, large ears, and bushy eyebrows, but at the same time he still seems young and vivacious as well, as if he's yet to finish growing into his lanky form. Also lending to a semblance of youth are the freckles that liberally speckle his ruddy skin and the gap that shows between his top two teeth when he grins.

Thick, blunt brown horns crest his broad forehead, and his bright orange hair grows in a bushy ruff between them and down the back of his neck. Further scruffs of hair are evident along the line of his sternum, on his elbows, his calves, and at the end of his ratlike tail. His leathery wings, though ridiculously small, still allow him flight, but he seems incapable of flying in a straight line in order to get anywhere. A thick belt keeps his too-large hide shorts from falling off his scrawny hips, and an engraved metal tag dangles off each of his ears. His eyes, wrinkled at the corners with laugh lines, are yellow.

Personality:

Those who observe Grig without actually knowing him tend to perceive the imp as a bumbling, incompetent creature. Imp-variety Bodhi are not known for their skill or intelligence, so Grig appears to fit the mold. Between his gawky appearance, improper grammar, general obliviousness, and propensity for putting his foot in his mouth, he looks to be the sort of servant only the most desperate or novice of mages would bind to their service.

In truth, Grig has a lot more going for him than can simply be discerned in a glance. He has, after all, served and outlived seven human masters, and a feat like that cannot be achieved by luck alone... though he does appear to have a lot of that going for him as well. It is perhaps because he is so underestimated by those that meet him that he is able to do so well for himself. Even if he can't string a proper sentence together to save his life, he is observant and resourceful, never hesitating when it comes to getting the job done -- even if he's scared out of his wits. When he messes up, which he certainly does sometimes, his mistakes motivate him to learn from them and do better next time.

Otherwise bright and cheerful, Grig likes to play around and often seems to be poorly matched with the companionship of dour Jerek and snide N'serric. Nevertheless, his loyalty to Jerek is utter and unfailing, even if Grig's always coming up short when he tries to match wits with the knight's Bodhi-infused blade. He also has a very strong compassionate streak that he never gives up on voicing, no matter how many times Jerek continues to ignore it.
