There is a saying in Tiriallea that "what gargoyle hears stays in gargoyle ears", but such is not the case with Arrow-of-Obsidian. Being essentially tireless and able to both rove great distances and stand statue-still for hours at a time, Arrow-of-Obsidian acts as Grimaldi's eyes and ears in many things. Her memory is faultless, and having Arrow-of-Obsidian witness anything is essentially the same as having a computerized bug on the wall to record the sight and sound of everything. Wherever she finds someone she believes is suffering, she leads Grimaldi and her fellows there so that they may end the other's pain as quickly as possible. Only rarely does Grimaldi question Arrow-of-Obsidian's judgment, and countless souls have been sent on to better places at her decree.
