A gatherer by nature, Tariko apparently attached himself to Lao Shy in part due to the attraction of gathering wisdom. It's certainly true that the devi is quiet and attentive whenever the aged chibi speaks, and either nods sagely or looks thoughtful after each of Lao Shy's declarations. Otherwise the land devi is quiet and sedate, and usually walks from place to place rather than fly.

Tariko is also one of those devi that has managed to figure out the written language of those around him, but rather than attempt to manipulate a pencil with his little paws, Tariko has mastered the hunt-and-peck method of typing on any keyboard or touchpad he can get at.

Lao Shy
