Talruven has some decent psionic ability, having been altered by his parents before birth to have such a skill. He can mentally speak to and read the surface-thoughts of anyone he can make visual contact with. Given time to sit and concentrate, he can also telepathically locate anyone he is familiar with within a half-mile range and speak to them or read their thoughts. For the most part, he only uses these skills to converse with Chibora (so people don't have to watch him hold a "one-sided" conversation) and keep tabs on Jaeros.

He can also, like all daemons, drain magic from anywhere in his surroundings -- even from other spells or right out of people -- and manipulate it to his own use. This is, in fact, where the clan surname of Weaver comes from: weaving threads of magic, rather than actual thread. Talruven is quite a powerful mage in this regard, and identifies most strongly with the elements of Light and Earth.

Somewhere in antiquity the Weaver clan had a mimic species other than "human", but it's tricky to identify what it may have been. Talruven is a humanoid biped of slender build, walking on black cloven hooves and standing just over six and a half feet tall. Tan fur as short as velvet covers his body and longer black hair covers his feet starting at the ankle like the feathering of a draft horse. Black grows in a line along the outside of his forearms and elbows as well. His face is of human proportions, with youthful features and very long, pointed ears. His eyes have no visible sclera and are a bright green colour. His tail is insanely long -- at least as long as he is tall -- with long, dangling black fur covering its entire length. His hair is a scruffy black mess of medium length, and looks like it has never seen a comb or brush.

Like his sibling Chibora, Talruven dresses with simplicity. Sleeveless tunics and loose pants are his typical attire, and rarely venture away from brown colours. His only decoration is a thin silver chain around his waist, far too light to serve as a proper belt and adorned with a longer piece that hangs in front of his hips and ends in a white, oval gem of some kind.

Talruven is such a warm and friendly character that at times it seems he can't possibly be real. It's as if the negative emotions like anger and sadness simply don't exist within him, so common is his cheer. He is a rather fatherly fellow, always out to look after and protect people though he generally has a good understanding of when he needs to back off and let someone handle their own problems. He loves to play around with others and absolutely adores children of all kinds, planning to someday adopt a small horde of them (rather than have any of his own).
