Nonverbal Speech

Although sentient and sapient, Devi cannot speak word-based languages. Instead they communicate in chirps, chitters, and other animalian sounds.

River devi are said to be energetic little creatures, but Weiris, for now, is more on the subdued side. He likes to stay close to Aeta and becomes antsy if he looses sight of the daemon, even if Aeta has only wandered into another room! He does, however, show signs of loosening up significantly, once he's sure he won't be abandoned again. Catching Weiris in a playful mood is like ambushing a young kitten or puppy!
