Vervain is a quiet creature who -- like her father -- carries the soothing air of a deep and dreamless night. She acts as a calming presence in any room, radiating patience and kindness to anyone who takes the time to seek her out in the shadows. This tranquil demeanor, however, is wrapped in a strikingly morbid package: she possesses a thoroughly casual attitude toward violence and mortality, often "comforting" wounded allies with unsettlingly placid observations about the peace of eternal slumber.

While she never raises her low, melodious voice, her physical presence is a chaotic contradiction to her inner calm. Vervain has a lot of eyes, and unfortunately, she uses all of them at once, maintaining a multiplied, hyper-focused stare that deeply unnerves most conversational partners. Furthermore, her telekinesis tends to drift onto autopilot whenever she gets bored and distracted, causing local small items to lazily orbit her head without her realizing it.

Polite thought she may be, her tolerance also has a strict expiration date. The moment her social battery drains, she won't argue or snap, but will instead wordlessly coil her serpentine body into a tight knot, close her many eyes, and pretend to be a piece of furniture until everyone goes away.
