Personality:

Fantredala lives in a state of constant amusement. No matter what she's doing, no matter what's happening, no matter how the people around her are feeling, Fantredala is always amused and always has a smile (or at least a smirk) on her face. Does this mean her humor is at times inappropriate? Absolutely. She finds amusement in all things and couldn't care less for what others think of it.

As a Balance Daemon of Destruction, Fantredala has a great love for death and devastation. She is not evil, however, but acts as an agent that works for the destructive side of balance. Her presence aboard the Abstract Destiny makes most of its crew nervous as her Destructive nature is no secret, and more than a few worry about the safety of the young lives they are creating while she is aboard. The fact that Fantredala has sworn never to take one of "their children" from them is of little consolation, for she always manages to be present whenever one dies of natural causes, and they fear that someday she will stop being contented with these accidental deaths and start causing them on her own. Only Doctor Schroeder appears to trust the half-daemon completely, and sometimes his crew wonders if their employer is being a bit too trusting.

But then, the rest of them don't know what Schroeder (and his closest assistants) do: that the 'meals' Fantredala gets from the occasional natural death among their experiments are only snacks. When Fantredala mysteriously vanishes from the ship, she has gone in search of larger acts of death and destruction to partake of. Only about half the time, however, does she actually need to cause the devastation on her own: in this multiverse, there are more than enough people already causing the deaths she feeds from.

Fantredala's primary methods of having fun are 1) creeping people out and 2) interfering in other people's lives. In regards to the former, she most loves tormenting her fusion-mother, Devika, who cannot stand the half-spirit and still regrets ever letting Doctor Schroeder send a sample of her DNA to the Whorl. Once, on a whim, Fantredala sent a sample of herself to the whorl, producing Pons, and was highly entertained at Devika's resulting dismay towards her grandchild. Fantredala now plots to expand "the noble line of Devika" in any way she can!

When it comes to her games of interference, Fantredala likes to butt her nose in other people's business whenever she wanders off-world in search of food. Whether she helps them or hinders them is totally up to chance and her balance-enforcing destructive urges, and once she's left them behind she almost always puts them out of her mind completely. As long as she's having fun, that's all that matters!

Being a creature of destruction, Fantredala must feed off death-energies in order to survive. Though she can consume regular food and drink, they hold no nourishment for her. The only energy that can sustain her is that released when a living thing dies, regardless of the method of death.
