Lighthearted despite his scowling appearance, Delaen has learned to appreciate the lighter moments of life through his bond. He has a tendency to get too wrapped up in his work and training, to the point of getting stressed out due to his desires to excel, so it takes someone like Lyle to moderate the hybrid's workaholic tendencies. In turn, Delaen reminds his bond not to play too much, and presses the young man to work a little harder than he may have done on his own. The last thing they need is to get soft and complacent!
