What's your favourite place?

What's your favourite place in the world?
(XP random boredom)

Mine would either be Italy (don't really care where, I'm not exactly picky), the Louvre, or the Ocean

Centenial Beach, Tsawwassen, British Columbia, Canada. This place is secluded enough that there aren't hordes of people around, the water is warm, the sea-weed isn't so bad, the only problem-creature are the occasional palm-sized jelly-fish and... augh, I just wanna go back there. You can walk for miles out when the tide is down, and the waves are nice and gentle so that at full tide, you can float about happily for ages and ages... ;_; I miss that place so bad.

.... o.o my room.

Sad but true XD

Other than that? Hume Lake, King's Canyon National Park, California. We used to vacation in a cabin there for a week every summer... there's the lake, and there's the canyon, and right next door are the redwoods... I miss it ;.; I also muchly like the whole of the central Californian coast. So pretty!

My boyfriend's house, because his family doesn't walk in every 5 minutes to ask me to look up something on the internet or come see what new amazing thing my father is doing, etc etc.

Although my computer room is my favorite if no one else is home :D

I'd say my room but I hate my room... it's too small and cramped.

I think.... In bed, asleep and in the world of my dreams, is my favorite place. I need a more comfortable bed. (And fewer cats sharing it with me...)

I haven't found one yet. At least, nothing that has me thinking of it as my favorite place.

But the one I would like to visit/be in before I die/can't any longer, are the mountains in the freezing cold, alone except for wilderness, central heating and running water.

And maybe a cup of tea.

This reminds me of a game me and my sister used to play. We'd sit out on the roof in the middle of winter with cups of hot chocolate and ask each other "if you could be anywhere else in the world, where would you be?" .

I always came up with somewhere sunny, beachside, and ungodly hot.

Well, I would like something sunny, beachside and not ungodly hot.

Cape Cod comes to mind, though it does have its hot days, it's hotter HERE in Indiana. Bleah.

So ya, I'd love to go back to the Cape someday. Perhaps retire there if I have enough money.

It's the moisture, that's important comparing a beautiful seaside retreat that's 90 degrees with (say) a flatland farm community at 90.... :)

I mean even here where I live, it's fogged in in the mornings so bad right now, that since I live on a Mesa I have to drop through canyons to get to work? And right at the edge of the mesa where the streets dip down, there is like a cloud of fog sitting right there. It gets so weirdly warm on the mesa and then you head to the shores and wow it's nice and breezycool. And smelly, but that's beside the point.

Say - Cape Cod... what does it SMELL like there? The sea-smell here is ... ick. I have lived here all my life and never liked being ON the beach for extended periods because of the rotten seaweed and salty-briny smell. Does anyone else experience stuff like that?

...I don't know, since I grew up there and lived the first 17 years of my life, I really didn't notice the smell. I suppose it you aren't used to it.

And yes, there's always that ocean breeze...though I really never remember it ever getting up in the 90's...at least not on the Cape. it got in the 90's in Boston, and we'd be in the 80's.

My sister wants to go back there to. I hope she can.

Favorite place I've been?...hmm probably the Forest of Mystery (yes that's an actual place) it's in California near the Red Woods (I think, mom and dad did the driving)

favorite place I'd like to be? Mithlond (Gray Haven) or with the elves of Harlindon (South Lindon) or Henneth Annun in Ithilien/Gondor. (yes I'm talking Lord of the Rings, btw) I would say Gondolin but, alas, it has passed beneath the waves. *sigh*

The only other place I'd like to stay is in the Cathedral. A place I've made in my mind.

It's weird but when I was a kid I used to hate things like squash, pumpkin, sweet potatoes and the like. Now I like them. I guess probably because they remind me of the old family dinners on Sundays when everybody was around and getting along.

Well, I love sweet potato..and I like my sister's pumkin pie, but that's because she puts so much other stuff in it you can't taste the pumpkin. Yay for nutmeg!
