Scare the Cashier . . .

Post by Midori »

Come up with a short list of items that you'd buy together at the store that would really make people wonder what you were up to (and possibly disturb them!), if you bought them together . . .

Example:

1. Cake mix
2. Frosting
3. Rat poison

...Actually the other day my boyfriend and I went to the store and bought a can of cream of broccoli soup, a potato, and a Sharpie marker. Everyone in line AND the cashier gave us weird looks, and I honestly could not understand why ;_;

In case anyone was wondering, you can get firecrackers at the Safeway June 20-ish to July 4th, but outside, in the parking lot. For anything more than that and teeny tiny no good fireworks, you go to Indiana or Ohio and sign a little paper that says you won't light them off inside the states. Mmm... barely leagal fireworks...

Rope
Padlock
Tweezers

(Yeah, they sell padlocks at the Safeway.)

Meh heh heh... I know about those fireworks stores. Of course someone in my family hasn't bought hoardes of them and set them off not-quite-legally somewhere else...

Mrr... *sits on hoard of fireworks*

Didn't blow anything up new years eve, but the guy who was hosting the party I went to told us about the time he tried to light a ball of yarn wrapped around some wood on fire, but apparently he used acrylic, so it started melting and bits fell off, and he almost set the entire backyard on fire. We also heard about the coke bottle full of dry ice and hot water that got thrown out a third story window, and a certain fiasco involving a dog, a dropped hamburger, and a wobbly charcoal grill.

Heh, fire... *drool*

Also, over thanksgiving, I learned about my dad's flamethrower experements with a spraybottle, lighter, and gasoline, and that my dad's old frat brother once made his own explosives out of kittylitter and blew a crater in the ground three feet wide. It's genetic, I think. My uncle blows up toy trains every once in a while, and I have two equaly BOOM-crazy cousins.

XD Genetic pyromania... that is great... My Dad likes explosives too, come to think of it... My friend and I were at the beach for New Years and wanted to have a fire to burn old school stuff... my dad startled chortling and pouring gas and lighter fluid all over charcoal! ^^ Didn't make much of an explosion at all... just a big fire... but mom was kinda freaked out...

Bug spray, flyswatters, and a chain saw. XD

(you probably can't buy chain saws in your average joe store, but oh well.)

Now /that/ would be an awesome group of things to pick up at the Home Depot. A blow torch would work in place of the chain saw. ^_^
