So. Got to thinking ... I want a new last name. I'm going through a divorce and I don't want to keep his (though, it is a nice one), so ... here's the deal:
Y'all throw all the different last names you think of at me and I'll pick one. Winner gets some art and the knowledge that someone out there will be starting a new life with a new name.
Current full name: Jennifer Marie Carmen
Options (current): Tritle (maiden), Zipfel (mom's last name), Swanson (mom's maiden name)

Carmen's his, Tritle's mine -- ...and I really don't like Tritle all that much, given that it was my biological father's and I'm not on good terms with him. :/ Zipfel is my step-father's. Sooo. Yeah.
I'm trying to think of words that sound good with your first name. Having been stapled with a name like "Crystal" myself, a lot of common last names suddenly become phrases when attached to my first :/
And now some random things that really have nothing to do with anything, but they sounded cool after I said your first name in my head.
Jennifer Mythic XD
Jennifer Alsain
Jennifer Karou
...do you have any particular attachments to a culture or people or belief?

o_o Um... something that starts and ends with 'a'? (You know you want a mary sue name! :P Super common online, but who has a name like Amanidia in real life?)
C'mon, you can't go wrong with Jennifer Johnson! I mean, you need to experience the joy of people in offices asking for your name...and then your birthdate or some other information because there's already ten other Jennifer Johnsons on file!
^.^

Mmm. Sound-wise, I have a heavy preference for Japanese or Spanish (or, extend that into Mesoamerican deity names, like Tezcatlipoca, Mixcoatl, etc), though I'm whitey-McWhiteness over here. Always figured it'd be kind of messed up to be something like Jennifer Ainoko or ... De LaFuente. *cough* Some African languages (Swahili springs to mind c.c) have interesting sounds.
But, really, I'm all ears for now. Weird is good, not-so weird ... I'll be mulling it over for a while, at least until the paperwork really starts getting underway.

:3 Personally, I like Zipfel of the names you have listed there. It's pretty. As for made up ones, Zippo, Drakiera, Geperna, and Mythica come to mind. :P Not that your world's influencing me at all.
'Epic' is most concisely defined as something that, were you to do it in view of a person in real life, they'd pretty much have to sleep with you immediately to maintain order in the universe.
I sneezed. It seems to have reshaped reality. My bad.
