Went to check Skysong's LJ to see who else had signed up for Nov. Samanayr breedings, because personally, I love the little buggers and I love looking at everyone else's Sams and having useless, fun fits of pining over them. Then I noticed the latest comment. Before I link you to the SS I took of it, I want to say one thing. I've seen comments of this caliber a hundred times before, in the LJs of "furry" artists, in the Yerf LJ, in RPing LJs, in so many forums and other places that allow anonymous posting. The poster is ALWAYS anonymous, and they usually have at least one bad word and/or the words "gay", "fruity", or "homo". These comments usually spark 50 other comments from people saying "YOU SUCK" or "LEAVE US ALONE" or "YOU'RE A JERK" etc etc and other flaming and namecalling, which I personally consider to be on the same (immature, infantile) level of the original poster. So, in a probably vain attempt to stave off the inevitable flood of equally-nasty, schoolyard comments from Sam-lovers and defenders worldwide, I put in a reply of my own. Which may very well be schoolyard name-calling in and of itself, but I tried to be a bit more witty.

((Obscenity is crossed out because I know there are some kiddies on this forum, though I'm sure you can all figure out what "anonymous" wrote))

I am just really, really sick of people like "anonymous". Really, what were you doing taking the time to COMMENT in a LJ that has to do with something you so obviously hate or are disgusted by? Why take the time and energy to jab a little dagger of hate and pain into people who are just talking about something they enjoy? Why not just think to yourself "Ew, weirdoes" and pass by without doing anything? And why don't the leagues of "anonymous" ever put a name to their posts?

Some of these questions I can answer, though not to my satisfaction. Some of them HAVE no answer. In the long run, it doesn't matter, but in the moment, it bothers and angers me and I have to say something about it. These are the kinds of people, I think, who go around shoving their opinions and beliefs onto you, but will walk away or beat you down if you try to so much as share yours or dissent with THEIR thoughts and beliefs. I know these people; I live with four of them, and it's hard enough facing them every day without having to find legions more online. I grew up being "weird" and "strange", and eventually learned that I was happy that I wasn't one of the faceless hundreds of "typical females" rolling around in Southern California.

I guess my point in posting this is to say: all of you, especially Skysong (since this was posted on your LJ), ignore these people who obviously don't have anything more exciting in their lives than leaving nasty little comments in other peoples' lives. I'm sure most of you don't put much stock into what fools say, but just in case, WE love all of you and everything that all of you have taken the time to create. You've all put a lot of yourselves into your creatures and your worlds, and I appreciate the fact that I've had the chance to be shown them, and share them with all of you.

And to all the Anonymouses out there, GROW A PAIR!!! XD XD

P.P.S. What ARE furry "standards" anyway? I wasn't aware that there WERE any. ^_^

I'm not serious enough right now to reply to this with a strong head on my shoulders.

Personally, I never came across it before... (I'm sure my english is screwed up there...) in my own responses/etc. but i guess that doesn't say much.

HOWEVER

I will say.

I want that furry thing.

and i want to know if thats the front of it, and if its not the front, what the front looks like.

The thing about being online is that you can just shake your head, laugh at them, and go on to the next thing. X3 Really, try not to be bothered by it... they may go out of their way to hassle you (and you're right, they always will), but that doesn't mean you have to get upset by it!

What amuses me is that... Well, several of us posting on there aren't even furries. XD My avatar is a furry little DRAGON, yes, but I hardly ever draw furries. More along the lines of elves/humans, and lots and lots of dragons. Occasionally something that's a non-furry animal.

And for my class lots, and lots, and lots of inanimate objects and a few landscapes. 0.o I guess you'd call Lakota a Furry (<3's for your response by the way, I LOL'd XD), maybe Skysong...but well, none of the other people I know that have posted. XD Ignorance, anyone?

I'm always confused when people post things to the extent that I'm a furry and get off the internet and such >_> I've always been under the impression that cyberadoption and furry stuff are different things.. perhaps I've been wrong? XD

However, I've already had to turn off anonymous comments on my LJ.. I don't wanna have to turn them off on the community, too ;_; Boo people.

Oh, and I did delete the comment, and somehow my life will go on even though there is an anonymous person on the internet who hates me ;_________; WOE.

I agree Skysong--I referred to you as a furry because your avatar (the picture you showed me..."Full Moon Rising" is your avatar, isn't it?) is an ANTHRO dragon. XD Though I've never really seen you draw furries...at least not often. 0.o So maybe you're not?

I don't know, don't really care a long as someone's not throwing porn in my face/giving TMI when I don't want it. Which I know full well all "furries" aren't like that.

Aye...perhaps it was the 'breeding' aspect of it. Though I've not had anyone say such in the EverRealm LJ, that I remember...

Perhaps it was just someone that got mad because they couldn't get a sam due to not having a webpage or something...

Yeah the whole furry thing. I ditched most of the furry fandom i was in years ago, because it took a turn for the worse. The worse: that MTV 'expose' they showed a few years back? While it certainly doesn't show the bulk of furry fandom, it DOES show what extremes 'we' have been known - well known - to go to. (That episode of CSI I think it was, with the guy screwing his friend on the roadside in their furry costumes and getting hit, thought they were a deer? lol)

And certainly I think *we* know the difference between cyberpet adoption and furry'ness'. We have furries *who adopt dragons*.

That hardly makes any of us furry because of that.

Some people are just idiots. Some are vindictive idiots. Like Myrror said, probably someone who was jealous for not having been able to get something in the cyberpet community, and wanted to lash out in their own 13-year-old way.
