Dude...this map has down to all the streets around my area. O-o Very streets I grew up riding my bike on and stuff. Kinda creepy.

Ha, but I can still find my street under the regular map *pokes map* It's Nokay Hall Rd, not Townhall Rd! Boy, that map is old...*laughs and wanders to bed even if she dosn't have to work till eleven tomarow* I even got brave and but the real me there...*facepalm* Thankfully we took some new pictures recently so I'm not that embaressed (it's not my senior pic, I'm happy!)

Yah...as Sil said we were throwing around ideas of meeting up...since a lot of us are over here on or near the west coast it would be easy if us USers could meet up in Cali then swing up to Canada to kidnap everyone else!

Okay, I think I've got this map thing figured out. In order to add a picture, you need to readd yourself. Then I remove the old info. Shoutouts are like quick comments. We can chat over that thing.

Canada, eh? I'd so go ... if I could afford it. This summer we were going to road trip to canada (we my boyfriend and I) but we never had time

And speaking of weddings, when I get married I'll probably invite you all to be my bridesmaids because ALL my RL friends are guys

lol _ I wish that I got to be a groomswoman, in their outfits, for my friend's wedding, it was zoot suits and tango dresses. I'd much rather have had a zoot suit.

But yeah, I can be the southern start point and work my way up the coast...

Actually depending on how others rest on the map, it'd be easier to head north on the coast to Vancouver, then east around a couple Canadians, then straight south into the rockies, THEN farther east. Everyone clumps up in the midwest.

My friends wedding was in Estes Park co, we did a road trip through Las Vegas, Salt lake, across the entirety of wyoming, into the denver area, and then took the southern NM/AZ route home. I actually didn't mind the drive at all, though it would have been nice to sit in the passenger seat once in a while (the other groomsman couldn't drive a stick shift that idiot).

I was playing with the zoom feature and remembered something rather silly about my area. To continue with the perverted theme of the last few threads, you guys really ought to see the road I live on from a map. It looks like a very... erect part of the male anatomy shall we say... and what's worse, the house I live in forms the base. Take a gander at Bonner Drive:

Yes, that's inappropriate humor at 4:30 in the morning. Darn it, I'm allowed to be randomly lewd too, though I'm probably regret it when I'm conscious. Apologies in advance... *snoozes on keyboard* x.x

To be serious though, I'm with Sil on the zooming feature. They stuck my thumbtack on the wrong end of Chesapeake Blvd, but all the streets... right down to the elementary school and the park close to my area. It's all there. Mapping technology is quite a marvel nowadays.

I'm pretty sure the map just places you around the area of the zipcode's center. My button is *completely* off, but it would follow if that is where the center of the zip code is.

Its more than possible now, though theres five basic questions that'd need to be awnsered.

1. Who's going?
2. When are they going?
3. Where are they going?
4. How long will they be gone?
5. How is this going to be paid for?

I understand completely, Sil...I'm buying a new horse for crying out loud!

Is there any way we can all kind of start throwing some money into a pot...maybe a Paypal account for the Nexus or something? Anytime any of us has a few extra dollars or sells a Nexus-related commission throw some money in and then we'll give it out based on need when we get together? So people who have to travel farther get more money and such? If we were really good about it we might even save up enough that no one has to pay for anything during the trip...it could all come out of Nexus money...

Not sure how practical that really is (or how fair, since I'm sure there are some people who would end up contributing more than others), but it's a thought...if I had the money I certainly wouldn't mind donating it to the Nexus-convention fund!
