Spring Fling - Hatching & Pickup! [Miasth's Clutch]

Here's how I'll be hatching this thing.

It will be hatched by clutch. Each female dragon's eggs will hatch separately, and for each clutch I will make a post here with story and pickup for each.

I will send this link through the SW Mailing List as well, so everyone knows it's here.

The Spring Fling - Part 1

Brineth announced early one warm morning that the eggs were to hatch that day. Over thirty perfectly hardened eggs rested on the sand, watched carefully by their mothers: Miasth, Opalth, Ialee, Morianaveyth, Careth, Kelekonath, Lokith, and of course Brineth.

There were about fifteen candidates there, as well as many sponsor-representatives from all over the Nexus. Quaira joined Keirrit in the daylight, where the many-coloured blooms decorated the Sands once more for the event.

Brineth silenced the multitude, while the other dragonesses hummed in a sparkling harmony in the background.

Candidates, she addressed the hopefuls. You have waited, and finally your day has come. Our children will choose well, I am sure, and so far I have seen each one worthy of bonding.

Keirrit beamed with pride - her dragon, such a leader to all the rest.

Our eggs will be hatching not simultaneously, but as our clutches were laid at different times, they will hatch by clutch-mother. We will each announce the coming of our children as they arrive. In the meantime, you may stay here, but be warned that the hatchlings could arrive at any moment.

With this announcement, the candidates began to murmur amongst themselves, awaiting the first call out to them from the dragons.

Keirrit, meanwhile, was linked in mind with her dragon for a bit of quality time together - something each had needed since this clutch was announced.

Surprisingly enough, the call went out only moments after Brineth's announcement, startling many candidates into attention. Miasth, a green dragoness with a small clutch of just two eggs by the purple Kuraren, took center stage as she bugled her joy.

The first of her two small but beautiful eggs split open in an instant, revealing a small yet graceful and strong purple dragon. His hide was marked with a pattern of flowers - Chrysanthemums, were they?

His choice made, he joined his mother and father.

I'm Dizihith, and I'm coming home with you. To Darkling Dawn!

His mother nodded as the second and very large egg cracked. Born then were two dragonets, both with identical purple floral markings on a deep green hide. They made their choice and romped their way through the scattered potpurri of spring blooms on the sand.

"Welcome, Dalliath, Daylith," said Digatas as his double and cross-gender bond joined him. The twins were ecstatic and sent feelings of happiness and delight into his mind.

Miasth nodded and said, That is all of my children.

They could only wait for the next set of eggs to hatch, in the wild anticipation of the whole Frenzy.

Personality: Though calm, he usually has a giddy air of excitement about him, and this alone cheers up anyone around him. He enjoys the company of others, and is very attached to his parents. Dizihith also has a soft spot for furry creatures.

Size: White-sized (due to sharing an egg)

Abilities: Telepathy, Teleportation, Assisted Firebreath
Personality: She's an overly happy and excited dragoness, who flicks between one thought and the other, with a bit of a decision-making problem. Digatas can't count on her to remember something for too long but she can cheer up the sad, for sure.

Gender: Female
Colour: Siamese Floral Purple-Green
Size: White-sized (due to sharing an egg)
Parents: Miasth x Kuraren
Abilities: Telepathy, Teleportation, Assisted Firebreath
Personality: Calm and collected, she enjoys just being lazy and relaxed. Daylith basks in the goodness of life and knows there's good in everyone and everything.

Yes, the only way to tell Dalliath and Daylith apart in appearance is that Dalliath has purple wings; Daylith has green ones.
