Hiatus I Guess, and Owed Updates

Post by Astra »

Well since it seems like everyone and their mom is going on hiatus, I might as well jump on the bandwagon.

In all seriousness though, I really don't have time for dragoning. I said I was still going to be around just not as often but the ugly truth of it is, I can't. I don't have internet where I'm living right now and I can only use the web at school, and at school I have no ftp access and I really should be doing school work (bad Astra for even posting this hiatus message). I'm REALLY sorry to everyone to whom I owe updates. I'll have internet at home again in one to two weeks ish but I still really will not have time for dragoning. The workload of sophomore year in college puts any school year before this one to shame. Seriously. I feel like I'm falling behind just writing this. Must finish thermo homework *panic*

Well anyway so long everyone, and thanks for all the fish (you know I'm not sure Ive ever even read hitchhiker's guide but I know all the references).

Oh and last but not least. To those I owe updates to (Skysong, Samber, Myrror, Sil -- I think that's all, anyone else PLEASE tell me) please please pretty pweeze don't abandon my dragons. I will have them up, I just can make no promises on when. It's not that I don't want to update them, I just physically *can't*. Not having internet really sucks :-\ But pweeze don't take away my pretties *big anime eyed sad pout*

*snugs* Come back and visit! And then come back to stay. :P You're muchly loved, Astra, and we'll miss you around here. Have fun at school though. I'm going to try the impossible task of keeping up with this place and doing five courses at the same time.

for anyone who cares here's an update -- it turns out our neighbors whoever they are have wireless internet and I get a perfect signal from my room. I don't know how long this will last, whether they will move, block me, or what, but for the moment I've got free internet. So I can update. However, I still have a frak-load of school work to do so updates will be scarce. Just letting you know I still live. And that not quite legal internet connections are fun. But it's not MY fault the neighbors put their router close to the wall, so I can't get in trouble, right? :P Anyway, See y'alls later.

lol! You should send them a fruit basket for christmas. :D

Reminds me of when I got free cable. We couldn't afford it anymore so my mom told the cable company to shut it off. Guy came by, snipped a wire; cable's still there. My mother, being the good perosn she is, called again and said the cut didn't work. Guy came by again, nother snip; still got cable. After that we decided to hell with it. :D We've got free cable!

That was in the old house though. I don't even have a tv in my apartment.

Um...it's actually illegal in California to steal wireless connections, so be careful!

well I'm not stealing it, it's just *there,* lol. It's not like I intentionally went to their house and yoinked the router and then laughed maniacally about it. Although that would be kinda fun...

Stealing it just means using it without their express permission...

Yes, they should have secured their network and placed the router in a place where it didn't reach other buildings, but what about in an apartment? I find at least four networks when my network is out, some of which are unsecured, but it's illegal to connect to another person's network in California without permission so I just wait for my connection to come back up.
