I used to draw these kinds of things all the time when I was younger (ie, 10 or 11). I mentioned them to my boyfriend the other day, and his response was, "Well, why aren't you still doing them?"
So here's my tempt at reviving an oldie - a little colony of dragonets, complete with cutaway cliff and little burrows!
At the moment I'm trying to decide whether I like it enough to color it and finish it up, or just do some fancy inking stuff and leaving it alone.
Aww, how gorgeous! Really, it's very cute. I think it would look nice in colour. It'd differentiate between the dragons and the cliffs. But, with that said, some nice fancy inking would also work well. Either way, it's cute and lovely and definitely needs to be more than just an outline.

I've started to color it using *gasp* markers to fill in the big patches of color for the cliffs and caves. This is the first time I've used marker on a piece that I actually want to finish instead of just messing around with them, so we'll see how it turns out *nervous* I'll definitely post it here when the coloring is finished!
I used to do stick-figure caverns and scenes like that in elementary school. I think somewhere online there's a copy of my oldest works... They're not nearly as beautiful as this obviously.
lol - I wonder if anyone wants a stick figure dragon... :p
I can just see my good ol' Stivr'wynn climbing up there. Reaching in. Grabbing, getting bit, swarmed, and finally having his way with the poor nestlings. That's actually the first thing I thought of - he'd so do that.
They're really good. Stick a photo in the background, I'm sure there's a couple pictures of sky/clouds appropriate to it!
oh mai gawd that's soo pretty! XD i looooooves it, and they're all so cute and personable.. awww i didn't even notice that third lil hatchling before! >w< so cuuute!
It's _adorable_. Don't you sometimes wish little dragons like that actually existed? It'd be too too cute.
I have to admit though, I didn't notice some stuff in the black n white one compared to the colored one, and I'm still giggling over the little dragons! I waaant oone.
"Un /this/ littl' bludgah's got kwoit a payah of lungs on 'em, dohsn't he and--gah, a noice set a' shahp teeth, too!" *as Stivr'wyn sucks on his liberally bleeding finger* XDDD Yay!
*prods Shard* We need to start up Dragon Survivor again. XD Maybe a horde of invading flits can be one of the challanges.
Sky: Those are TOO CUTE! I especially love the little brown baby that's hiding behind his (her?) siblings. And the blue that's yelling at the white-pointed yellow. Very family-ish.
