An Idea I've been pondering...sadly

Okay, so I've been desperately trying to sort things out at Treval. I probably have a good 80 dragons that need to be paged at Treval. Truthfully, though you probably seen some up at the new domain, I'm still revamping and organizing and getting a bit frustrated.

This is why.

Not all the dragons I've collected are going to fit in well with what is going to happen with Treval. The Dragonry is going through a metamorphosis of sorts and if you want me to explain in as much detail as I can give out (it's kinda a surprise but at the same time not) I can. The basic gist of this post is what to do with all the babies I have but don't want to get involved in the mess coming up. I thought about opening a Sanctuary type thing that has no particular location and sending a bunch there but I would probably never do anything with them. My other thought would be to give them away unless the creator would either be upset and hate me or would rather have me keep them.

I want to say right now I don't want to give them away but I don't have the time and energy to page some 80 dragons and figure out what to do with them. Treval is a huge project and getting bigger everyday. I would much rather some of these dragons go to places where people need/want them rather then me paging them and forgetting about them.

Now, the rest is up to you. I don't want to make people mad at me because they would see a dragon they may have colored specifically for me or whatever go to someone else. I'm not going to say what I have that I don't want (I am not basing this on the artist!).

So, there you have it. What I've been debating on all day. If everyone objects to this, I will not promise that I'll page everything because the mess Treval Dragonry is getting into is much more like Pern, Alskyr and Icarus based - yeah, going that cliche direction...*shrugs* But at the same time I think I have a pretty neat idea for it...at least I think so.

Well if you've got any from my dens, just tell me who and what they are, and I'd be happy to have them transfer to Dragonhope, they could make up their own wing of "displaced" folk. Not like they don't already have some of my own people that were brought forward themselves.

Thing is, a lot of places, if you're talking about older Weyrs, don't even exist much any more, and trying to locate siblings/parents etc if they've bred is very hard when they keep moving like that. I've only ever had to move one site, genrehopper, otherwise I just keep everything as much as I could the way it was, on its original pages. Do you not have *any* of their original pages up? Just link to those?

Hmm. Well, if there's any dragons from me on that list (though I think you've paged everything you've gotten from me), I'd prefer to take them back, myself, than have them be handed off to a third party. I might decide to readopt them out from there, rather than keep them, but I wouldn't want them relocated without me having a say in who got them, yanno? :)

But I wouldn't be hurt/insulted or anything if you felt the need to give a dragon(s) from me up like that.

I'm not sure if you even have anything from me, but if you do, I'm pretty much with Phe. I'll be happy to take them back and readopt them, no hard feelings.

Ditto on what others have said if you have anything from me, which you probably don't since I haven't been very productive... XD

Also, just because they don't fit into Treval doesn't mean they wouldn't fit elsewhere in the Nexus...I have plenty of characters and their respective dragons (or solo dragon characters) living in places other than Kilandaia...yeah, they're harder to keep track of that way but it keeps things a little more interesting...and that way I can keep certain characters out of my gigantic Kilandaia plots... XD

*nods* Okay, well if I do give some up, I'll just send them back with who I got them from. I would probably want it that way. I wouldn't give something to someone else without permission from the original creatore, anyway.

I've thought about solo pages for them, too, Xalia. But, I do have 4-5 sites including Treval that I would like to keep open for various reasons. Falas because it was my first, along with the FGPC, then Baskar and Alskyr and stuff like that. Yeah, I'm a little stressed out and it's my own fault but I think I would get board with just one or two.

Okay, anyway, I'm going to start some organzing (again...durh) and get back to people...K...okay...*runs off feeling relivied she didn't get snapped at* Yeah, I still have a fear of that...*blink*

I haven't been keeping track of the Nexus lately, but Mud and JKatkina mentioned this post so I thought I'd poke my nose in. :3 If you have any from me that you can't place, Yakima, could you send the image-files back? I'd rather re-adopt than see my dagrons disappear... but since my records are scattered between computers I often wind up misplacing the files!

Hope everything works out for you! O_o Seems like your sites are a never-ending journey of re-organizing.

I began to create a secondary site to place all those that I don't want at Treval for various reasons so you can all relax about this post. I just wanted to see what people thought and what they wanted me to do if that was what I was going to do. But I wanted to see if I could find a way to keep them because some of them I am attached to. *shrug* Sadly, my computer began to die and all my plans are on hold. *sulks*

Isle of Rys or Isle of Renn...haven't decided on the name yet but that is where they'll all go to live happily away from the incoming troubles in Treval.

New links for those who need/want them will be coming eventually...

*hordes all her dragons back happily proud she found a way to keep them all* And yeah, Dray, I keep reorganizing and I rather hate it...Falas and Baskar are the only ones set in drying stone now. Treval is, saddly, still in the air, even on links I've already given out might change...*sighs* Not sure, still floating. Though, the Ortari-kion (Elemental Dragons) redisgn is coming along nicly...

BTW, I'm using my sister computer temporarily. heh...
