Flux character/dragon trades

Like Phe, I'm hoping to collect some character dragons/anthros/humanoids, but I'm looking for two characters in specific, for an experimental project-website that will eventually be filled with all of these characters, comic-bits, pictures... anything so long as it isn't text. XD

It's located here, for now and I hope to build on it quite a bit, with your help!

I'm looking for two characters, Trevor Goodchild and Aeon Flux -- each cloned/characterized in your own style, preferably as newly drawn images and not gussied up dragon templates! I would prefer bipedal images (anthro or humanoid, whatever is your preference), and, like Phe, if you have a signature species (like Phe's Terigons, Kitsu's Rukels, JKat's Aven dragons, etc.) I'd love to see Flux or Goodchild drawn as one of 'em!

In return, I'm willing to do art for any character you'd like. Be they fan-arts of a published character, clones for original characters (like Shard's Kalkin's or my Agate's and Fa's) or for a character that you'd like to see an image of but don't have yet... I'd prefer to draw from an image, but if you have absolutely nothing, I can negotiate with a detailed description. The only thing I ask -not- to do is draw your character in Lysary form... and if you don't know what those are, good. XD

If you're interested, please toss me a post. I think I'll only open two slots at a time so that I actually get my end done.

I hope this isn't overwhelming, coming at the same time as Phe's next round. XD I just really, really would like to have multiple versions of these fan-characters. I have lots of plans but they hinge on getting lots of trade-art.

Seeing as I'm looking at a lot of time where I can't actively work on anything except with pencil and paper, I think I'd love to somehow bend my mind around creating Aeon or Trevor as one of my three major species (Myrsilk, Alevaharin, Alaiskya).

I'm especially looking for Trevor images, since he's the more challenging of the two (or at least I think he would be!)

(Trevor as an Askan would be full of win and <3.
Either as Myrsylkians or Alevaharins would be really cool. @.@ The Myrsilk types are my favorite. :D)

Well, he's half of a dragon-god, first emperor of the Fou Empire, so he's powerful and arrogant, but in a really...cool way? XD And he speaks with the royal "we" and uses "thee" and "thou".... I don't know how to describe him, maybe StarFyre can do better!

Draconic ^^ Seeing as in-game Fou-lu is technically a Dragon God. Or half of one. You can't really see it in those pictures, but even in full human form he has horns that come up from behind his ears ^^

Oh, his element, in game, is Water, if want to play with that.

*shakes fist at Ryu* Why is it that the only good ending you can get means you have to destroy Fou-lu? I'm guilty of going for the bad ending before the good ending in BOF4 =P Cause I was curious if they'd show Fou-lu destroying the world like he wanted to.

Oh! I can do a full out thing of Fou-Lu =P Seeing as I've focused so much on him.

Ahem.

In the world of BOF4, there are things called Dragon Gods, which rule over various elements. You have the Wind Dragon, Mud Dragon, etc etc. Humans worship them, because of how powerful they are.

1000 years before the beginning of the game, the soon-to-be-Empire wanted to make a name for itself, and decided to summon a Dragon God of their own, to be their own personal God.

They tried several times, usually resulting in failure (summoning of a God is difficult, y'know?). One of those failures is actually Dies, if you pay attention to the game, though I forget if she was summoned before or after Fou-Lu (I think before, because she doesn't have a body at all, she's just a spirit in a tin can).

They finally succeeded... to some extent. They summoned one half of the Yorae Dragon, who took human-ish form (as said before, even in human form he has horns) and became Fou-Lu. Accepting the charge that the humans laid upon him, Fou-Lu became their Emperor and led the Empire to greatness, spanning an entire continent.

But he grew weary, being only one half of a god. He gave the seat of the Empire to a trusted advisor, in return for a promise that the man, or his descendants, or anyone who ever sat upon the Throne of the Fou Empire, would relinquish the throne to him upon his awakening. (There's mention that he actually said he'd sleep for 1000 years, but I'm fuzzy on whether that's an in-game fact or something extrapolated from the game).

1000 years passed. His other half finally woke into the world (being Ryu), which woke him up as well. He left his "tomb" and his guardian instantly noted, "Where art the people?" then Fou-Lu went all, "'Tis not of import. They are mortals. Were we to attempt to understand their mind, we should spend an eternity. There be more pressing matters to attend to." As he left the tomb, he came to two guards, who were all like, "Who are you and what are you doing here?"

Fou-Lu spoke with them a bit, then, when he learned that the guard's goal was to stop HIM (they call him the Dragon of Doom, which will, supposedly, bring the Empire to ruin), he went all,

"Thou believest thou can do such a thing? Thou art but mere mortals."
"Thou dost not ken the power of that which you would destroy. This be a dragon."
"A dragon 'tis force of nature unto itself. Thou mayest as well seek
to fight a volcano or the very earth itself! Dragons doth give birth
to thy kind, grant thee life, and verily taketh it away. They are to
thee art to an insect. In thy terms..."
"They art gods."
"...Wouldst thou fight a god?"

His next comment was, "Tis as I thought, tis not of the mortals to change their ways." Then went on his way. Next thing, he gets waylaid by the current Chancellor, told he's not needed or wanted anymore, and that he should scurry on back to his tomb because the promise made so many centuries ago is void. The Chancellor then uses fire against Fou-Lu because, since Fou-Lu just woke up, he's still incredibly vulnerable to it.

This starts Fou-Lu's downhill slide with humanity.

He falls into a river when the bridge he's on is burned from beneath him, but is rescued by a hermit by the name of Bunyan, who tells him about the world and what's going on in it. Bunyan slightly restores his faith in humanity, though when the man tells him about the wars of late, Fou-Lu is a bit disturbed.

Fou-Lu heals, then leaves. On the way out, he's waylaid by the fisking Chancellor AGAIN (I hate that man, he's so ugly and evil...) and when he tries to escape by turning into a dragon and flying away, the Chancellor sends a manufactured monster against him and he gets shot down again.

This time, he's picked up by a yound woman called Mami (I love her so much), nursed back to health, and given protection by her. She calls him her cousin to shelter him from the rest of the villagers, with a false name and history and everything. She asks him about himself and he starts telling her about his history, about how he gathered the warring nations together and used his power to forge a peaceful Empire then grew tired, and about how he tried his best to fulfill all the wishes of the people...

And how he slowly came to realize that, even whole, he could never fulfill every wish. Mami comments on how he looks so sad, and that she can't stand to see him like that.

He meets up with a false "God" - a monster that had drunk of the power of the Endless (the Dragons) and then styled itself as a god - and starts to wonder if, maybe, the world really doesn't need gods at all...

"The Endless are summoned to this sphere... This changeth the very balance of Nature herself, flooding the world with energies both powerful and dangerous, and doth cause those beings easily influenced by it to think themselves gods... What then do mortals thinketh?"

The Chancellor comes knocking again, though, and Mami protects him by shooing him out the back through a hole in the wall and effectively blocks the Empire's way. He only needs this help, though, because he hesitates in those first moments when the Empire comes a knockin in the village. He's growing attached to it. Most of the villagers like him, too, but the Empire has troops, and they're just simple farmers.

In return for that help in escape, Mami gets taken away by them.

Not much later, while Fou-Lu is escaping through the forest, Yohm (the Chancellor), puts Mami into the Carronade, which takes life and fires a massive blast of power to "hex" (curse) an area beyond all recognition.

A weapon so powerful... That simply using it dost place them in jeopardy...? Verily...Their folly is greater than even I hadst thought..."

At that point, one of Mami's bells falls to earth next to him. He snaps.

This is the point where Fou-Lu loses all his faith in and respect for mortals. He stops caring. He believes that the only recourse is to destroy them, purge them from the earth and let it recover on its own.

From then on, he's ruthless. He kills the current Emperor, takes the throne for himself, and then waits for Ryu to arrive... because he knows that Ryu will come to him, as the two of them are drawn to each other.

"Thou hast seen it with thine own eyes! The mortals' joy and their anger... Their mirth, and their grief... Their lives and their deaths. But thou doth not understand the truth, Ryu! All that...All they are...is of no consequence to us! We are Endless! What be these things to us other than petty diversions? They...The mortals art ignorant, prideful animals... They doth lie to one another, injure themselves and their fellows, and they kill each other and all around them for sport! Their folly is immeasurable."

"I knoweth full very well that 'tis our duty as god to protect the mortals. But they be not worthy of that protection! They are beyond salvation!"

Starfyre, he's coming along great! @.@ Is he going to be coloured similar to one of his suits or something? XD This probably sounds silly, but could I ask that he has hair? >_> His pose is perfect, but that would be the icing on the cake.

*grins* Hair's no issue, I was actually planning on doing that in the coloring stage in any case. I just don't have a tendency to sketch hair/mane into a design like this, because it gets in the way of my other lines and clutters the outline up... =P That, and I'm better at digitally coloring hair than sketching it.

And yeah, I was intending on coloring him similar to one of his outfits. Not sure which one, yet, of course, unless you have a specific outfit coloration you'd like to see him in?
