It was a dark and cloudy winter night when the first of the letters arrived. It didn't matter where in the Nexus this happened to be... it was more like the dark and cloudy preceded the notes' arrival, as if to annotate, "yes, this is a dark and threateningly stormy sort of message, please respond accordingly."

Who the message was from, or what the message was deemed to mean was known only by those who received it... and only a dead few were ones to receive this particular kind of note.
