Battling Balings!

Post by Dray »

For a class project, I've been taking a particular Nexus story of mine and reworking it so that it works for non-Nexiian viewing (since I'm not sure that everybody would understand having a dragon for a main character! XD)

Below, Rmyaw (based roughly off of R'meyawia) fights off a horde of balings... which are minions of this particular nations infestant Balechild. XD Done with a mixture of acrylic paints and pencil crayons... and some sharpie here and there. *cackles*

I love being in art school! I actually get to turn in this kind of stuff for projects?! Hooray!

I'm amused that a dragon-character might confuse, where a conglomerate beasty of some sort is fine. X3

Also, awesomes!

Your art never ceases to amaze me, Dray!

I wish I could work in paints...I'm just too scared to try my hand with anything major... XD

:3 The only way that you can learn is by practicing with them every day... or at least as often as you can find time to do so! XD You should see some of the kids in my class who do this stuff on a regular basis. They're -amazing-!

I just haven't a clue where to start...or even what type of paper to use... XD Maybe one of these days I'll start playing around though...

A pack of student-grade acrylics works pretty good, and if you don't mind your sketchbook getting crunchy and hard to close, they're very good for practicing in! X333

Maybe I'll just put a set of acrylic paints on my wish list for Christmas and see if I end up getting them! XD Then yeah, I've got so many sketchbooks for different purposes, I'll have to pull some of them out and see if they can stand up to paint... :)
